I worked at Morris, Manning & Martin full-time

    Pros

Benefits are top drawer, great Buckhead location, and nice decks to enjoy lunch on.

    Cons

No room for growth, non existent HR for staff, large disconnect between attorneys and staff. There's no one really to stand up for you, and gone are the days of moving people around to different teams. Some groups better than others. The no jerk policy went out the window with the recession. I hope things turn around for the positive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your entire team. Staff help partners make money, they're support and effort should be greater appreciated. What happened to the wonderful culture of the firm?

    Pros

Very good benefits; compensation is just average if you aren't an attorney; generally nice people

    Cons

Staff are second-class citizens; no career path in a law firm if you aren't an attorney; antiquated review process

Not bad for a law firm, but could be better

I worked at Morris, Manning & Martin

    Pros

The managers do recognize workers' efforts and accomplishments, and give accolades for such. Work areas are comfortable and accommodating. Most people are friendly.

    Cons

Typical of a law firm in that attorneys are treated like gods and non-attorneys are subservient. Salaries should be commensurate with work experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be fair to all employees and recognize that non-attorneys are just as essential to the firm as attorneys are. Do not allow attorneys to disrespect non-attorneys.
