Current Employee – been working at Mortgage Contracting Services full-time for more than a year
Pros – There are some well meaning people here.
Get to listen to music.
Work is simple.
Complete seperation between work and life (hourly pay helps this)
Cons – Repetitive work
Employees are only used for operations while all business functions (marketing, new business development, etc.) are handled by VPs with no opportunities given to current employees to grow in these areas
Company culture is very down and out. Small groups of friends exist but for the most part you are welcomed every morning with sadness.
Advice to Senior Management – Use your employees. They are talented smart people. Let them out of the hamster wheel and spread some responsiblity for the company's success. Oh and some sort of bonus structure might aid in having employees have some sort of connection to MCS pas not trying to be fired.

Current Employee – been working at Mortgage Contracting Services
Pros – 18 days of PTO and most major holidays off
Tuition reimbursement--80%
Benefits are pretty good
CEO, CFO, and COO are all extremely nice and very personable.
We also have a great Board of Directors that gives holiday bonuses most years.
Company picnic is fun as are the holiday party
Cons – Pay. Last year, HR did a company-wide survey on working at MCS and what all employees would like to see change. Pay was #1 that across the board everyone wanted improvements on. Most Directors, Team Leads and APCs have to get second jobs just to get by. If you don't live with your parents or have a second job, you cannot make it in life at this pay scale. However, they do pay for your school after 6 months of working here.
The job itself is repetive and you do get overloaded with work if you are a dedicated employee. In fact, they may not even promote you because you are so valuable to your team that it would fall apart if you left. BUT, they would not pay you more regardless. It is easy to get stuck here.
Performance reviews are only once a year and the raise is maximum 3.5%.
Advice to Senior Management – Try to avoid overlooking the employees that have taken on additional responsiblies, are flexible, and are dedicated when it comes time for promotions. Pay your employees more and they will stick around.

Current Employee – been working at Mortgage Contracting Services
Pros – You'll never get fired, busy, young crowd, free cupcakes and fruit the 1st of every month!
Cons – The pay is terrible, no opportunity for advancement, managment needs to stop micromanaging!
Advice to Senior Management – Leave us alone! We are more then capable of completing our job, even if we show up to work at 8:01 every once in awhile!

Current Employee – been working at Mortgage Contracting Services for more than a year
Pros – Jeans on Fridays, nice office
Cons – No opportunity for growth, no recognition for being a hard worker, they are eliminating supervisor positions opening up more entry level positions, micro managed. Extremely high turnover, no loyalty to company
Advice to Senior Management – Promote your employees who are doing a good job. Pay your employees better.

Current Employee – been working at Mortgage Contracting Services full-time
Pros – Interesting work sector of the economy to be in for the past few years and immediate future. All employee's are pretty friendly. Good entry level position for people right out of college or in school.
Cons – Benefits and compensation could be better as they are only average. At times the work can be fairly boring and mundane. Dress attire should be more casual.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Mortgage Contracting Services
Pros – It was very close to home. The management when I started was great as a start up company. They were willing to give time off as needed and work to improve all processes. They listened to the employees.
Cons – You are just a cog to make their $20 million profit. No you do not see any of that profit except in a gift card which they do not give as a gift as they make it part of your wages so you have to pay taxes on it. Very disappointed there is no growth opportunity to move out of your current position after you have been there a number of years. If you are great at your current job, they would rather you stay where you are since they do not want to disrupt their profits. Management does not care about holidays or weekends as they would rather have you work to make their profit for the month!
Advice to Senior Management – If you wondered why your more experienced people are leaving, maybe you need to take a look around and see why they are leaving. You need to provide some incentative to your experienced employees such as flexible work hours.
