    Pros

Talented administrative staff are treated with respect and valued almost as much as the accountants.

    Cons

The firm encourages maintaining a good work/life balance. Unfortunately, that equals "don't bring your personal life to work, but do bring your work home".

    Advice to Management

Communicate more often and honestly with employees at all levels.

    Pros

The staff and seniors are awesome group of individuals. Fun. Semi flexible with hours and schedules

    Cons

Mid management, specificially managers, are terrible. They don't know how to deal with conflict and will back stab you for their entertainment.

    Advice to Management

The partners need to talk about a succession plan and tell people how to get promoted instead if a guess and check.

    Pros

Fairly flexible work schedule, a very young and professional work environment, learning new and relevant things each day, job security

    Cons

Too many hours (specifically January through April and August through October). Should be a teaching environment, but many mid-level managers find a way to make it as if it is more of a chore to be teaching anyone anything new.

    Advice to Management

Need more transparency throughout the firm, from top to bottom.

  6. Great opportunities for advancement in a variety of disciplines at this progressive firm.

    Pros

Large, diversified, stable firm (101 years in business), yet innovative and progressive. Very good firm leadership that knows where its going and communicates honestly on how we'll get there and what part you can play. Collaborative culture where ideas are shared and accepted from any level. Honest, fair people.

    Cons

Large size creates some bureaucracy making change more difficult. Some local leaders struggle with change that's needed to better serve our clients and our people.

    Advice to Management

Try to become more comfortable being uncomfortable. Experiment more and don't worry about achieving perfection every time.

  7. Lots of opportunity. Good variety of projects.

    Pros

Easy to get promoted through manager based on good technical skills and efficiency. Forum W is progressive and the best part about the firm.

    Cons

Extremely political environment beyond staff level. Partners in most groups have annual sales goals so they hoard work, making it hard to build a book of business due to limited support from partners as they watch out for themselves. High turnover.
