    Pros

One of the pros of working here is the people, everyone gets along with each other really well. The management in this office is super involved with scheduling, which is fine when we're a good size but we're growing each year so it might becom more difficult. Other pros include the benefits and people's understanding with scheduling - we get 5 weeks of paid time off with some flexibility.

    Cons

The cons include the public accounting hours which vary from 55-60+ hours. Additionally, our office can be restrictive in allowing seniors to participate in various networking events. I think this puts a hold on individuals who are interested in a group/industry and want to further their knowledge.

    Cons

Very little work/life balance. Long hours with not a lot of compensation.

I have been working at Moss Adams LLP full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

There are great opportunities to grow and excel. The people at Moss Adams are intelligent, talented and hard workers. There are several career paths and opportunities to advance your career.

    Cons

This is public accounting which means long hours and difficulty balancing personal and professional commitments. The firm is very transparent, however, in communicating the hours requirements and professional commitment.

I worked at Moss Adams LLP part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

LIke most large firms, the training was unbeatable. Much of the training came from client discussions during the training. My bosses were also very supportive and I respected their opinions. They practiced patience and had good interpersonal skills. I never witnessed anyone overreacting or losing control in the office, as I've heard stories about in other firms. The partners also valued families in the office I worked in.

    Cons

The firm is large and continues to grow. Entrepreneurial spirit seems to get stifled and lost when the local office loses all decision making capabilities.

    Advice to Management

Continue to support and listen to your employees.

    Pros

Really great work environment. No one is 'jaded' in my group. It's a friendly environment and I'm very happy here.

    Cons

Time-off is a little harsh, since 4 months of the year it's simply not 'allowed'. This is not unexpected, I know. There's a definite feeling of IT being a cost center that doesn't get recognition from the greater firm. This is also pretty normal.

I worked at Moss Adams LLP full-time

    Pros

Compensation is ok but nothing spectacular. Benefits are average. Annual raises and bonuses are pleasant. There are free beverages.

    Cons

No room for advancement. Lack of foresight among leadership. More of a concern with keeping partners happy than keeping workforce motivated. Little appreciation. No standardization of processes and procedures. No communication between departments - very regimented. Innovation is frowned upon. Errors based on faulty information as a result of the dysfunction and lack of communication are not tolerated - get ready to fall on your sword due to someone else's mistakes. Poor work-life balance. Don't believe the hype.

    Advice to Management

Rip it up and start over again.

    Cons

We work a lot of hours, but it's definitely not as bad as other firms.

  11. As a part of the marketing staff, I felt the company valued our contributions, unfortunately, there is no career path.

    Pros

The people are great and there is an acceptance of work/life balance. While I never missed a deadline, I also never missed one of my kids concerts or special days at school. The marketing team is respected for what they contribute to the bottom-line and not viewed as a cost-center. Also, the benefits are great.

    Cons

There is no room for growth. The marketing team is very flat. The only way to grow professionally is to take on new project/initiatives, but no available career advancement.
