    Pros

Amazing company! you can learn a lot and work with amazing smart people. There are several projects that are challenging and help you to keep growing in your profession.

    Cons

Too many changes lately. Its a really complicated situation when you are not stable. Like all the companies, its taking a while to get stable again and it will take a while after the Lenovo acquisition.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

The people in Florida are great. They are hardworking and go the extra mile.

    Cons

Management in Illinois. They think they know it all but they were the ones driving the ship when it went down. The Plantation facility was making money and very successful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Seriously look at who are original Motorolan's in upper management in Illinois. If Google is going to grow the business they need to clean house further.

Former Employee - Program Manager in Plantation, FL

I worked at Motorola Mobility full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Got to work with a large number of incredibly smart and nice people. It was a great company to grow in with lots of education, both real world and "school". Company offers a great benefits package and competitive salaries.

    Cons

Over the last several years, there were a number of down-size and restructuring events. There was a constant stress that it could happen to you at any moment. There often seemed to be very little reasoning to who or what groups were removed and with every restructure, it became more difficult to get your job done. A tense and difficult environment. I was there under Google for a short time, hopefully some of that is improving for those still there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When eliminating jobs or segments, give some guidance as to how that "role" is to be filled or what the plan is, to those who are still in the company.
