    Pros

Flexibility and agile structural-wise and single minded mentality, to achieve and excel without compromises. Very ambitious and driven management style, that occasionally or lose sight of the capabilities and resources, but are positive and supportive, through the project cycle.

    Cons

Depend too much on short term or temporary solutions, as opposed to developing and bringing in new talent, which potentially could make the difference in needed change, attitude and ideas, sorely needed to fully meet burgeoning demands.

    Advice to Management

Management has a tendency to not keep an accurate or close tap on necessary resources, personal or skillsets or develop fully, those that are available sometimes are discounted or not fully utilized or engaged for opinions, suggestions or their unique.insights.

    Pros

It was a very big firm, with nice office settings and common area settings at least

    Cons

I served 2009-2010 which was a very bad time when Moto is trying to spin the mobility department off. So... all the good days had gone by then

    Advice to Management

Do not cut of your tech team when sales and marketing didn't make their goal.

    Pros

It is more open than Apple, as in you are free to talk to and ask your colleagues what they are doing most of the time - so you got the chance to learn stuff outside of your area. It is big enough a company to have experts in most of the fields, so a lot of great people to learn from.
Headquarter is in Chicago, which the cost of living is pretty low, considering it is the 3rd biggest city and the downtown is quite happening, with great public transportation system. A lot of things to explore. Most other hardware engineering companies are usually in the suburbs, which can be pretty boring - but Motorola is in the heart of downtown.

    Cons

Since the company is doing just alright, not like Apple which is making obscene profit, the salary, bonus, benefits and perks is not as great.
Even though they have done a lot to energize the company, it is still a pretty old company. The average age is higher than the younger company in the west coast for sure.

    Advice to Management

I know it is not easy to have an amazing product idea or to stand out in such a competitive market. But that is what the company has to figure out and focus on.

    Pros

We have a lot of cool projects and products that are going to a new market. We have a new parent company that supports way better our projects and its a huge competitor in the market.

    Cons

There is a lot of company values that I dont think other companies have. I can say that we have a lot of projects and we try to have a work life balance...
