Cons
Very high personnel turnover.
Low morale
Pros
Opportunities for advancement with hard work and time commitment
Managers (especially Senior Mgrs) without personal connections to sport are strong
Element of pride working for NASCAR
Cons
Abyssmal pay/nonexistent raises
Senior management crippled by licensing constraints and owner apathy/greed
Managers WITH personal connections to sport are typically incompetent
High turnover
Low sales
Diminishing customer interest/excitement
Terrible morale
Advice to Senior Management
Once the licensing constraints are taken care of and the company is rightsized, call back some of the non-Nascar-team-connected that left, offer them a healthy salary, and allow them to facilitate the change necessary to create a profitable business. Fire the long-term whiners and promote enthusiasm.
Pros
This was a good place to work when it was Action Performance. However, due to poor management since the joint venture between SMI and ISC, brought MA into existence, we are on a downward spiral. The only good reason to work here is fair salary and good benefits.
Cons
Total lack of leadership. No accountability. To report ethics violations, you're supposed to call a number that is answered inside the building, by someone who reports to the biggest violator. Unbelievable that no one from either of the owners has ever come over and asked what is going on... seems they don't care...
Advice to Senior Management
Either make positive changes or GET OUT, so the rest of us can keep the company afloat.
