    Pros

Used to be some pros for those that got in the company really early and were able to cash out stock options

    Cons

Too many to list. But incompetent, nepotistic management, questionable business practices and God-complex CEO made this the worst company I have ever worked for,

    Pros

If you were in early enough you might have made some money through stock options

    Cons

By far the worst company I have worked at. The CEO, Ryan Wuerch is an ego-maniacal narcissist and the environment he creates is absolutely poisonous. Google him or Motricity and you'll find out all you need to know about him and Motricity

I worked at Motricity full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

There were some terrific and talented people at the company to work with and, for a time, the company nearly became a true leader in the mobile arena.
The salaries were between and mid and high range for most/all positions in the company and the benefits were strong.

    Cons

    Senior leadership was not trusted
Strategy was poor and did not align with market
    Far too much posturing/politicking internally
Technology systems were unreliable, leading to client emergencies constantly

    Pros

The people who are in non-management roles are very passionate and great team players.

    Cons

The executive management shares no information with their employees. They talk about "communication" and being "transparent" and then hide in their offices and never talk to anyone. Their answer to training for their core employees is "NO".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It has to start from the top. A new CTO has to be in place to lead a revolution in the company. The current CEO must go along with others.

    I worked at Motricity

    Pros

    - Talented rank and file
    - Peers are good to work with
    - Things get despite incompetent interim CEO
    - Nice location in downtown Bellevue
    - Free drinks

    Cons

    - Bureaucracy and nepotism rampant among mature business lines
    - CEO has no vision and direction, company constantly changes direction. As a result, visible results.
    - Benefits are poor

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company has mature business (where no new investment is required) and other businesses with potential. Hire a new CEO or spin-off the disparate business units after seeding them.

    I worked at Motricity

    Pros

The individual contributors are good to work with. Remaining lower- and middle-tier management is realistic about the company's future.

    Cons

This company is in trouble. It requires new leadership and a new direction. The feature phone business is drying up, and competitors have booted Motricity out of the Asian market. Mobile marketing and advertising have a bright future, but leadership team doesn't seem to have a roadmap for becoming a part of that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Change.

I have been working at Motricity

    Pros

    Open door policy
Has some really good talented people specially at lower technical employees

    Cons

Direction less Company to work with...
Play with the carieer of many employees...!!
    Management is pathatic.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Board should change the entire top management overnight & should hire new people who can really run the company.

    Former Employee - Project Manager

    I worked at Motricity

    Pros

Co-workers are nice, "worker-bees" are very team focused and helpful
Flexibility with your schedule when needed
    Good location and office perks

    Cons

Very poor executive leadership and management
Execs and management cannot make decisions
Company acts so secretive and does not share any information
Execs would rather have employees just sit around doing nothing for months instead of making a decision and direction for the company
Way too many director level types that are not "directing" anything
Behind in all areas of technology - no way to catch up
With all of the uncertainty, the company does not care about the employees anymore - making some very poor choices as far as the employees are concerned
    Good talent is all leaving

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are too late to the game. Make the hard decisions, get a plan, and execute. 6+ months with NO execution, you should be ashamed for cashing your big fat paychecks.
