    Pros

    Creative, stimulating environment for academics

    Cons

Part-time, or contract-based employment. Lack of stability. More discussions across academia, that would include part-time professors and the outstanding students, for the betterment of the academic, more sustainable environment.

    Advice to Management

Establish more sustainable and motivating environment. Attract more international students, create curricula involving sustainability of the socio -cultural and natural environment.

    Pros

MRU has nice facilities and grounds. And that is just about it.

    Cons

They keep posting the same position for IT Project Lead/Business Analyst. A revolving door.... In reality, they are needing a Program/Portfolio Manager with the skill and experience to manage and maintain lots of projects (20+) at the same time. They want to pay least amount possible for a very lop-sided position arrangement and pay.
Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere...No one needs this kind of work arrangement. If you want to be underpaid and overworked, you can find a position like this almost anywhere.

    Pros

Mount Royal is a great place to work. Some of the staff members are really friendly. You can also take some classes if you want to improve you interests and knowledge.

    Cons

Some of the con's are little chance for advancement. Some of the dapartment managers are very poor. Some are too comfortable in their positions are should be let go!!!

    Advice to Management

My suggestion is to consider each department and promote some from below and remove some people in higher positions.

    Pros

Paid Christmas time off, casual environment, access to free gym, decent holiday time, some support for more education, daycare access

    Cons

Bureaucracy, lack of structure, no accountability for workers, no accountability for wasting tax-payers money

    Advice to Management

Older workers need better basic computer skills. The staff waste a lot of time visiting and then they complain about not earning more money or that positions are being cut.
