    Pros

Still striving to build great product following brand mission statement.

    Cons

Execution hampered by large parent company systems and processes. Employees are not well compensated, which contributes to the brands inability to stay competitive among other things. Talks the talk on ECO, but does not really take steps to minimize footprint.

    Pros

The company consists of an amazing group of smart, young people that share similar interests, primarily a passion for the outdoors. It is small enough that there isn't a ton of bureaucracy involved to move projects ahead, and is backed by Columbia Sportswear. The office is very cool and employees are encouraged to take advantage of the nearby Bay Trail (for running, biking etc) and volunteering.

    Cons

MHW is unable to keep their top talent due to poor compensation and little opportunity to advance within the company.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to reward employees if additional compensation can't be provided.

commision is nice to have especially when everything costs so much there. Staff is friendly, and its a pretty easy job

    Pros

Great people with common interests to work with. Good work location with lots of natural light. Amazing product. Financially stable and growing. Company owned by Columbia Sportswear.

    Cons

No career opportunities to move laterally or up within the company unless you are willing to move to Portland.

    Advice to Management

Spend more type finding ways for teams to work together cross-functionally. Look for opportunities to develop staff and hire from within.
