    Strong Core Values, Good Company Atmosphere, Great place to have a career.

    Cons

    Every company has it's quirks. Moxa's are minimal.

    Keep the Company Culture the same. It works and Moxa is a great place to come in to work.

    Pros

    Full of pretty dumb people, so it's easy to do a little work and come off looking like a genius. Pay is okay.

    Cons

    Taiwanese company; all "me too" products. In appropriate HR behavior out of the headquarters in Taiwan; not realizing that most of the world has different customs, manners or even laws. It's not about what you produce here; it about doing what you're told by a select amount of about 6 people.

    Advice to Management

    Lean how to do just about everything better. Hire smart people, embrace some practices that are being implemented in other successful companies and for darn sake... be more flexible.

    Great people to work with, Technology is innovative

    Cons

    Moxa use a "Forced Ranking" system for evaluation their employees. This means that you can have an excellent performer that ends up on the bottom of their forced ranking pool in their work-group be disciplined or even terminated, just by the random grouping. Quite often, under-performers can end up in the middle of their ranking pool and continue to prosper in Moxa, despite poor performance. Forced Ranking has been abandoned by IBM, GE, and Microsoft as it has proven to be ineffective.l

    If you are going to join Moxa, be prepared to justify your existence and "blow your own horn" on a daily basis. You are required to prove your value to the company through extensive documentation. This is not a company for the meek and humble, but rather the arrogant and boastful . The irony is that most of the people that work at Moxa are mature and respectful enough not to buy into this claptrap. It all comes from the Group Executive board or GEB, which is exclusively Taiwanese.

    Advice to Management

    I agree with the other comment. If Moxa claim to be global company, start behaving like one , not just a Taiwanese culture. If you claim to have core values of Mutual Respect, customer focus, Integrity, and execution, start making those values authentic. Humiliating good performers that happen to end up at the lower end of a forced raniking pool is NOT mutual respect. Customer focus cannot exist in a culture based on fear. Don't bother claiming a work-life balance, when you demand 100% dedication to the company.

    The company has a clear goal to become a world class leader in Automation. It is also willing allocate resources to ensure growth in targeted markets and customer satisfaction. Above average compensation and good health benefits.

    Cons

    Your career path is in the hands of a few of managers who are in power. Performance does not guarantee success at this company. It is not uncommon that unqualified people get promoted because of their affiliation with existing power structure.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees and not only the selected management members. Talents are lost because they can not break through the glass ceiling at the company. Employees often find themselves frustrated working for a company that does not realize true talents.

    Pros

    The company tries extremely hard at building a world-class business. It has shifted global resources to specific business areas that it thinks will improve processes and customer retention, and has its hear tin the right place.

    Moxa has a very good health and benefit system, a company bonus structure that is for the most part fair. It's tough to get in as the company works hard to hire and retain the right people

    Cons

    Unfortunately, there is a giant communication and execution gap between the Taiwan office and its regional offices - yes, I know this exists all over but at Moxa this gap becomes a unspoken sore point to employees that don't drink the kool-aid, and obvious to customers that see us scrambling constantly to get our different business groups and cultures lined up to win consistent global business.

    I do think there is a glass ceiling at Moxa, if you are not part of the existing power structure it is very difficult to get inside based on your achievements alone.

    Advice to Management

    Yes - listen to the voice of the customer, but also take action on that action. Listen to your people throughout the organization, and do not think that the only voices that matter are those that are in management.

    Moxa always cares for the growth of employees, and it's a company who respects each and every individual on their professions.

    Cons

    Always looking for the consensus sometimes ends up in numerous meetings and a long decision process.

    Pros

    I have never seen or worked for a company that is as sincerely committed to a core set of values as Moxa. You have to experience it to understand it, but Integrity, Customer Focus, Execution, and Mutual Respect are not just words on a page to the leadership team or to the rank and file. This is a company that cares deeply about maintaining a strong, employee-centric work culture. And you work with some of the nicest, hardest-working people you'll ever meet.

    Cons

    Moxa probably has more than its fair share of internal communication and coordination issues. There are definitely some growing pains as the company ramps up its operations to compete on a much larger scale.

    Advice to Management

    Don't skimp out on the fundamentals.

    Pros

    Great people, culture and values. Solid product and solution portfolio and roadmap for industrial ethernet and automation. Significant investment in R&D and customer service. Very promising growth prospects.

    Cons

    The already extensive product and solution portfolio is growing all the time. It is a challenge to keep up with the rapid pace of innovation. A nice challenge to have though!

    Pros

    Coming from large enterprise company, I am glad to work with MOXA now as it is a privately owned small/mid sized company.
    Values are not only words on a marketing flyer, but can be experienced in daily life.
    Basically everybody knows the senior management personally and can share concerns and ideas.
    However, large product portfolio and multiple market segments provide a wide diversity of interesting work areas.
    As MOXA is growing year by year significantly, there is plenty of interesting tasks to be done.

    Cons

    From my point of view MOXA can improve on finding the right priority and level of detail for business processes. Currently, certain processes seem to rather slow down and create questions than ease daily life.

    Advice to Management

    1. MOXA is at the edge to become a market leader in certain segments.
    Middle management will be key to make this success happen. They must believe and act accordingly.
    2. In order to keep pace with the strong growth, MOXA should put even higher focus on hiring and retention measures such as career plans.
