    Line cook POV

Line Cook (Current Employee) Brampton, ON (Canada)

ProsEveryone on line I work with is really nice, easy to get along with. We joke around and make working fun. Lots of respect for each other and our own strengths.

ConsLot's of pressure from Managers and Supervisors, high-intensity environment. Keeps you on your toes.

Advice to Senior ManagementSpeak clearly and ask for exactly what you want. Be polite as it will go a LONG WAY and you will get what you want faster / better / more efficiently.

Great job for a beginner in the restaurant industry.

Server/Bartender (Former Employee) Kelowna, BC (Canada)

ProsTraining, experience, great place to meet great co-workers

ConsUnfair staffing levels based on age and sex. Will only allow females to work as a server in the lounge or on the patio at some locations.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more open-minded and learn to appreciate staff who have skills rather than give the best sections to the best looking server. I've seen management give the busiest sections to the newest staff only because they were sexy and female, but unfortunately couldn't handle serving more than a few tables. Experienced staff would be stuck with empty sections running all the food out for the 'sexy' server, while the 'sexy' server would make all the tips and the experienced servers would make almost no tips.

    Sexual Harassment from Management

Server (Former Employee) Ottawa, ON (Canada)

ProsGood tips if you can get the good shifts, yummy food for a reasonable price.

ConsHorrendous managemen. Men are always the managers and there is a TON of sexual harassment. Basically if you don't sleep with your manager, you won't be given good shifts and will slowly be forced to quit.

Advice to Senior ManagementPromote some women and some better ethical values.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

    Cons- Late nights
    - Certain location better seasonally (i.e. mall locations Christmas, big patio better summer)

    ok

    Hostess (Current Employee)

Prosco-workers are really nice, guests are friendly and management is easy-going and personable, the environment is really positive

Consyou HAVE to wear heels for your entire shift which kills after the first four hours, and your availability sometimes isn't considered when you are assigned shifts

Advice to Senior Managementchange the rule about wearing heels, it can really damage the feet of some employees
