I love working at Moy Park, that's the reason I've worked there for 11 years!

I have been working at Moy Park full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I believe the company leaders have our best interests at heart and also they don't discriminate against disability, race or age. I believe the working standards are excellent and management know what they are doing and they are doing their job very well.

    Cons

For me, there are no cons to Moy Park. I love working at Moy Park as I believe the company is run by well-educated and well-trained people and I believe every individual of management is interested in the employees best interest and well-being. That care for employees is what makes Moy Park so great.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to upper management would be to keep up the good work, as I am very satisfied with their standard and quality of work from by length employment with Moy Park.

I worked at Moy Park full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The company size and position in the market place gave job security in the sector I was working in although cost cutting was always at the top of the agenda, irrelevant to the staff involved.

    Cons

The balance between cutting costs and work morale was never considered. A hard pushed work force with no morale or incentive appeared to be an acceptable compromise when it came to profit margins. In the sector I was working in, this has now affected the people remaining as they have less experience and have no desire to improve or progress. This in turn will (and has) affect overall production.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look after the good staff that you have left. I took a less stable position away from Moy Park because you did not value my abilities and potential to improve your business in my sector. My new employer has shown faith in me and that has been rewarded with better running costs, more efficient and better trained staff.

I have been working at Moy Park full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

None, best to try to get into one of the other Moy Park sites

    Cons

Nightmare. Stay well clear of this site, facilities and leadership is the worst. Amongst my colleagues we have over one hundred years experience and all agree this workplace scores lowest in all areas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Live the company values and listen to staff. Walk the floor, learn from the frontline and show that you care.

I worked at Moy Park full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Staff shop and free parking

    Cons

Internal jobs not being advertised on the staff notice boards .these jobs were already promised to the foreign workers who then spoke in their own language to the team leaving the indigenous workers not knowing what they should do next.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

make surprise visits to the "shop floor"

    Cons

Sometimes lack of communication between departments, hard to get days off at times, sometimes it seems the company tries to save money on the wrong things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should communicate more with people in production.

I have been working at Moy Park full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

A strong company in the market place. Offers job security in the current climate

    Cons

Reducing running costs are sometimes put ahead of staff requirments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To stay competative we appreciate efficiency is essential but too much cost saving has an adverse effect on staff morale. Some times a positive comment here and there can go a long way.
