    Pros

None other than having a great store manager that would jump in and get just as dirty as the mechanics

    Cons

    Long hours for little pay
Bust a** for the peanuts that I was able to make or shall I say killed my self trying to make a decent wage if it wasn't foe the store manager I don't think I would have ever stayed more than a day
Store managers have no life work open to close 6-days a week only 2 holidays off a year

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to treat employees with the respect THAT YoU would like us to treat u like
We are only humans not robots that have to be able to take normal lunch and bathroom brakes
Also would be nice to have personal life other tan worrying about MR TIRE all the time

    Pros

There are always new things to learn in the automotive industry and it's always nice to share that knowledge with the average customer. It was a nice way to meet new people and develop good business relationships.

    Cons

Extremely poor work/life balance. (60/70 hours per week for salaried employees.)
Assistants and floating managers are given a title but no authority.
Upper management did not appear to care about employee concerns. ("If you don't like it...quit.")
No recognition for a job well done.
Bitter customers depending on the location.
Very little to no advancement opportunity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take better care of your employees if you truly want to see an improvement in the company.

    Pros

The pay was decent for the work I did, and there was plenty of work most days. Its a small shop only a few guys to work with so it was usually friendly.

    Cons

Boss was unpredictable, some days he was in a good mood and everything was ok. Other days he was a real unpleasant person. He was usually overly demanding. I had personally bad working hours six days a week

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Chill out and treat employees like you would want to be treated. Try not to talk down to them all the time.

    Pros

Ability to show off your sales skills
    Product discount
    Bonus (when you get it)
    Salaries are mediocre

    Cons

They try to rip customers off with finding services to recommend without customer approval
Too many Chiefs, and not enough indians
All they truly care about are numbers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop micromanaging, you can't hit the number everyday. "They mad bro"

    Pros

The automotive industry is pretty solid right now. Plenty of options in parts and products to work with and beat prices. Some management is good and understanding.

    Cons

No consistency in pricing, (feels like your ripping some people off...)
They don't take very good care of their employees. The medical benefits don't cover many things. They try and weasel out of due vacation time. Switched all in store management to salary and then increase hours expected per week, (removing the threat of overtime). Maintain the attitude; If you don't like it leave..."

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take better care of your employees. Learn to be more efficient

have to drive other peoples stinky cars
    terrible on your body

    environment can be a s***hole

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow for younger guys to actually make hours so that they get compensated for killing themselves (only if they actually work hard though).
