A great place to work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGreat Brand. Company culture is fairly laid back, and people are fun to work with

ConsBeauracracy gets in the way sometimes. Things that shouldn't take long to decide and discuss take much longer than they should.

Advice to Senior ManagementGreat place to work. Thank you for all you do.

It was a very good first job at a cafe

ProsGreat team, was able to get along and learn about retail at the store, work I did was fun, even though it was pretty hard at times.

ConsIt was your normal retail job at a cafe, nothing that special. It was mindless at times, but there was something's to keep you company.

I worked at Mrs. Fields Famous Brands part-time for more than a year

ProsWorked at a Mrs. Fields cookie's location in high school as a first job for a few years. Provided great customer service experience that can be used for almost all jobs in the future.

ConsBasic job that is not for growth or further opportunites.

Frustrating Place to Work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Mrs. Fields Famous Brands

ProsPay is ok, but benefits package (including bonus structure) leaves a lot to be desired; these are not clearly defined, and are often moving targets.

ConsNew CEO shows promise, but he unfortunately has surrounded himself with weak talent. The VP of Store Ops/HR has absolutely no real Operational Experience, and this is causing much "knee-jerking" throughout the corporate office and field operations.

Advice to Senior ManagementSurround yourself with real Retail/Franchising professionals before MFC/TCBY become a thing of the past.

Terrible experience

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Mrs. Fields Famous Brands

ProsSalary was decent - not much else.

ConsNo vision or plan by management for the direction of the company. Treated like a number, not a person. Office environment evoked the financial distress of the company - empty offices, empty cubicles, empty floors, but no one was allowed to move to a larger, unoccupied cube. Could only get two pens from the mailroom at a time, yet plasma TVs were given away regularly at frequent company meetings. Made no sense.

Advice to Senior ManagementA little encouragement and respect towards employees would go a long way.

Mrs. Fields Cookies

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Mrs. Fields Famous Brands

ProsIt was actually a fun job. Everything is pretty much pre -made so you just have to bake product. Very customer focused. Worked in a small store with good staff.

ConsCorporation is very slow moving and communicating with stores. Do not always deliver what they promise. I do not believe they take very good care of their store owners.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey need better communication at each store level. Each store is supposed to be the same but this is not true.
