Pros
They provided a decent work environment, good benefits and stable work.
Cons
Upeer lever leadership had high turnover due to major restructuring
Pros
Pay is ok, but benefits package (including bonus structure) leaves a lot to be desired; these are not clearly defined, and are often moving targets.
Cons
New CEO shows promise, but he unfortunately has surrounded himself with weak talent. The VP of Store Ops/HR has absolutely no real Operational Experience, and this is causing much "knee-jerking" throughout the corporate office and field operations.
Advice to Senior Management
Surround yourself with real Retail/Franchising professionals before MFC/TCBY become a thing of the past.
Pros
Easy job, fun at times, meet lots of people, no target sales needed.
Cons
bad management, fewer and fewer benefits of working there
Advice to Senior Management
treat employees better and there will be more sales.
Pros
Salary was decent - not much else.
Cons
No vision or plan by management for the direction of the company. Treated like a number, not a person. Office environment evoked the financial distress of the company - empty offices, empty cubicles, empty floors, but no one was allowed to move to a larger, unoccupied cube. Could only get two pens from the mailroom at a time, yet plasma TVs were given away regularly at frequent company meetings. Made no sense.
Advice to Senior Management
A little encouragement and respect towards employees would go a long way.
Pros
pays well a good starting salary.
Cons
the management works the employees hard.
Advice to Senior Management
more team moral needed.
Pros
It was actually a fun job. Everything is pretty much pre -made so you just have to bake product. Very customer focused. Worked in a small store with good staff.
Cons
Corporation is very slow moving and communicating with stores. Do not always deliver what they promise. I do not believe they take very good care of their store owners.
Advice to Senior Management
They need better communication at each store level. Each store is supposed to be the same but this is not true.
Pros
- Unlimited Cookies
- A chance to move up to comanager
- Easy
Cons
- Your working with food so you have to get everything correct.
Advice to Senior Management
- Be smart with your money
Pros
Free cookies and independence from constant supervision. They were good at building schedules around school times and giving time off when requested. Uniforms were provided without having to buy them.
Cons
More than expected manual labor for minimum wage. Not appreciated by management. Training was inadequate and product information had to be learned on your own. Very little room for advancement or raises, 25 cent raise at the most, usually after at least 6 months of working.
Advice to Senior Management
More praise and feedback for exceeding responsibilities. Better training materials. Designation of Team leader would be helpful especially when you are the only worker over 16.
Pros
If you are in high school and are looking for a job Mrs. Fields is a great alternative to the usual fast food. You get to work in an air conditioned mall, eat all the cookies you could ever want ( they get old fast though ). My hours were very flexible, and I got a few raises.
Cons
Upper management can be a pain. Too easy on some people ( let people off wasily when they do something wrong ). The pay is decent, minimum or a little above. The workplace is a ton of fun but when you're stuck closing alone 4 days a week it can get boring.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to what your employees/coworkers have to say. Enforce the rules.
Pros
Great Brand. Company culture is fairly laid back, and people are fun to work with
Cons
Beauracracy gets in the way sometimes. Things that shouldn't take long to decide and discuss take much longer than they should.
Advice to Senior Management
Great place to work. Thank you for all you do.
