I have been working at Mtv Network Latin America
Pros – Laid back environment
flexible schedule
very nice supervisors and managers
Great place to learn about all the different departments (marketing,ad sales, production, programming)
Cons – There is Not enough communication
Difficult to move up in positions
Salary is a little low
Some departments are under staffed
Advice to Senior Management – Need to find ways to motivate your employees, especially if you aren't increasing their salaries or able to promote them. You also have to organize some departments better

Pros – -Good company to have on your resume
-Great benefits (medical, vacation, bonus)
-Chance to work with very talented and creative employees.
Cons – -Salaries scales should be revised (upper level mgmt salaries are just too hight compared to lower rank employees)
-Limited growth within the company
Advice to Senior Management – -Upper Management should listen more to concerns from all employees.

I have been working at Mtv Network Latin America
Pros – The fun environment is both stimulating and inviting but runs a fine line of becoming unproductive. The office feel young and lively and often hosts social events to reward employees for their hard work. Very much a 'family' environment.
Cons – Diligent and competent employees do not stick around for long - either because they are among the many 'temps' or because they are staff who gets tired of the unprofessionalism. This company offers little room for growth and compensation is inadequate.
Advice to Senior Management – There seems to be a surplus of staff in some departments and a deficiency in others. Consider reallocating "heads" to better suit the needs of revenue generating departments.

Pros – Youthful atmosphere, social environment, exposure to novel issues.
Cons – Very hierarchical and antiquated management style. Lack of efficiency and good organizational design, including lack of systems and open communication. Highly questionable promotion practices. Unclear sense of direction.
Advice to Senior Management – Find employees who have working knowledge and language skills for territory. Address lack of process and turnover ratios in certain areas.

Pros – It´s Viacom....you learn how to work in a big US corporation. Great and cool people to work with. (some are quiet weird but fun to work with!).
Great company for a 3 year project.
Cons – Human resource department. 100% rotation of headcount in less than 3 years.
Advice to Senior Management – 100% rotation of headcount in less than 3 years.

I have been working at Mtv Network Latin America
Pros – Fun and energetic, young atmosphere with a serious attitude towards work.
Constant opportunities to learn about new trends, markets, and creative productions.
In-market productions with pan regional (all of Latin America) approach to strategies.
Cons – Compensation is not up to par with similar positions at other networks.
Working under pressure with limited resources and understaffed departments.
Advice to Senior Management – I believe it would be a wise investment to get a strategic analyst to consider the current structure of the company and evaluate where resources are needed to support the growing objectives of the Ad Sales teams and the implications these have on the rest of the company in terms of work load and resources.

I worked at Mtv Network Latin America
Pros – Great work/ balance deal
flexibility with personal or immediate vacation time
informal working setting
great location, which is great when the office gets too stuffy
Cons – lack of growth
lack of clear communication from senior management
no acknowledgment or recognition for people who are managers and below; not clearly understood why
Advice to Senior Management – Note that managers and below are working just as hard and would like to be invested in the company as well.

I worked at Mtv Network Latin America
Pros – Flexible hours
A lot of young, talented people in lower ranks.
Pay is OK.
Cons – MTV has lost its creative fuel... High rank VPs, SVPs and EVPs know nothing about the creative side of the business and are unable to make sound choices.
Higher ranks are arrogant and despotic with fellow employees.
