I have been working at Mu Sigma full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

For different person company value is different. It depends a lot on your Account and your project lead but if you are fully focused to learn then you can learn a lot. If you are lucky you will get good projects and you will learn various techniques like R, SAS, SQL, Excel even Java, Python and if you are luckier, you will get the chance to learn various statistical techniques and Machine learning

    Cons

You will be promised bonus and salary hike in one year but that you will get in January next to next year (almost after 16-19 months). It is very likely that you have to work more than 13 hours a day (depends on your account and your manager).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We work very hard to earn the money you promised us. at least give us our bonus on time and the salary hike when we complete one year or state your policies very well before recruitment so that we don't feel betrayed.

    Pros

You grow exponentially once you complete 2 to 3 years in the organisation(as a fresher)

    Cons

    No life only work
Compensation is not even close to their counterparts

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay better, people love the company, but you can not sustain an organisation if you do not strive to keep your best people within the organisation

I worked at Mu Sigma full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great exposure to the world of analytics
Steep learning curve and lot of opportunities to try your hand at various aspects like sales, BD, consulting
You will develop some high level connects with your clients which again is a great learning opportunity.

    Cons

The culture sucks big time. Treating employees with respect is an alien thing at Mu Sigma. In the last six months at least 60% of my team (onsite) left including me. It is not a place where lateral hires can expect a good growth as there is a strong bias towards folks who have been with mu-sigma since inception. The salary is a big negative but it is not something that the company tries to hide. I saw that most people who worked with others companies leave in about an year. Some of the people who joined Mu-Sigma from the clients have left in a span of few months.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do think about how you treat your employees. Not recognizing that they are part of your success is a big risk you are taking. The company is growing enormously and has a recognition in the industry. It is important to retain good talent without which the growth won't be stable in the long run.
