    I worked at Mu Sigma full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Good work experience
    Chances to lead a project at a young age (had my own team within 3 months)
    Chances to make a big impact
    Chance to have a promotion after one year
    Lots of learning (mostly on your own)
    Young and excited collegues

    Cons

    LONG work hours
    Underpaid
    Difficult on relationships (difficult to find a work life balance)
    Several phone calls everyday (early in the morning and late at night due to offshore team)
    Few vacation days (10 vacation days + 8 days due to holidays)
    No sick days (you have to use your vacation days if you're sick)
    Chances to lead a project at a young age (there were some people who were forced to lead a project too early without very much supervision or direction)

    great clients, interesting work

    Cons

    low pay
    very poor work-life balance - managers believe in work life integration and not work life balance
    political atmosphere - extremely in dealing with your team in india
    cost cutting to the max - very poor investment from the company into individuals

    Invest in your people
    stop bringing in people from offshore to onsite role - hire people here in the US - offshore folks do not have adequate client management skills

    Pros

    Very good place to start your career. Loads of opportunities come in your way. The limit is how much you can do at any point. These opportunities are rare in other companies and you may only get after spending time

    work life balance...but has any one else found it?

    Pros

    Great learning opportunities, great breadth of clients and industries. Good training program for starters. With rapid growth of the company everyone gets a chance to get to grow in responsibilities and profile very rapidly.

    Cons

    No work-life balance, especially if you take on positions of greater responsibility and seniority. Even earned time taken off is sometimes frowned upon and it is really hard to plan personal time.

    Be more proactive in performance management of mid-level managers
