    Pros

    great clients, interesting work

    Cons

    low pay
very poor work-life balance - managers believe in work life integration and not work life balance
political atmosphere - extremely in dealing with your team in india
cost cutting to the max - very poor investment from the company into individuals

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Invest in your people
stop bringing in people from offshore to onsite role - hire people here in the US - offshore folks do not have adequate client management skills

    Pros

Very good place to start your career. Loads of opportunities come in your way. The limit is how much you can do at any point. These opportunities are rare in other companies and you may only get after spending time

    Cons

work life balance...but has any one else found it?
    low pay
The company openly accepts that they dont value people that much...

I have been working at Mu Sigma full-time

    Pros

Great learning opportunities, great breadth of clients and industries. Good training program for starters. With rapid growth of the company everyone gets a chance to get to grow in responsibilities and profile very rapidly.

    Cons

No work-life balance, especially if you take on positions of greater responsibility and seniority. Even earned time taken off is sometimes frowned upon and it is really hard to plan personal time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more proactive in performance management of mid-level managers

I have been working at Mu Sigma full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The Mu Sigma experience in the US is very different from one you might get in India so keep that in mind when you read the reviews. That said, if you have a love for numbers, this is the place to be. Mu Sigma caters to a lot of very impressive clients and the work you'll get to do is often quite innovative. Even as an analyst, you'll get to work with clients who are high up in their organizations- you'll also be given many opportunities to rise to the occasion. The best part is the company culture which encourages you to be very direct and straightforward with your colleagues and leadership. You can be honest with your current abilities as long as you show aptitude and a willingness to learn. The company is full of young and talented people and it is very refreshing to work in such an atmosphere..it really keeps you on your feet. :)

    Cons

Definitely the offshore calls. You'll have a very bright team in India from whom you can learn a lot but this also means that you will have to deal with 10 pm calls. As you get more experience there are ways to minimize the time spent on the calls.
Diversity is also currently a problem. The company started in India so there a lot of Indians working here. However, the new batches of analysts have all been hired from good colleges across the USA so the diversity issue is being taken care of.
