    Pros

The people were mostly friendly, hardworking and enjoyable to be around. There was a lot of flexibility with scheduling for everyone.

    Cons

It Was a good place to work until CHS bought out Monroe Regional Medical Center and patient safety began to suffer. Benefits also drastically changed

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and focus on patient safety instead of saving money. Stop severely understaffing and risking safety of patients.

    Pros

Was a great place to work until CHS took over. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there now, to work or be a patient.

    Cons

After owning us for a year and promising raises that were 6 years over due, most people got 1.7 %, the others got nothing. They are all about the numbers and how many people they can admit into the hospital. Good experienced nurses that have worked there for years are leaving in droves, and they don't care. They just keep having the ones that are left take more and more patients.

    Advice to Management

Those that are left don't have a clue how to keep good staff.

    Pros

Honestly can't think of any. Other than insurance.

    Cons

Low pay, low employee morale, ignorant supervisors

    Advice to Management

Take the advice of your employees. They aren't all unhappy by coincidence. And get with the times with your pay scale. As a 10 year vet in my field, the fact that I made under 10 an hour is laughable.

  7. It was an educational experience but not a place I would settle with a career for.

    Pros

Good electronic system, helpful team members, helpful training

    Cons

Supervisors were not supportive and misused authority to degrade and terminate employees
    Training period lasted too long

    Advice to Management

There's not much I could tell management to fix unless they are able keep a close eye on the supervision of all their departments.

    Pros

This is a community based hospital that service the health of sick people with compassion and dedication. A nice place to work for because the employees are warm and friendly.

    Cons

Our patient bed count depends directly on seasonal increase such as winter months being the heaviest patients bed count. This means the other time of the year we are low in patient counts and that causes a decrease in work hours.

    Advice to Management

It makes for unhappy workers if you and employee do not get annual raises but upper management recieve salary increases or bonuses.

    Advice to Management

Always back up your Charge Nurses in front of front line staff.
