    Pros

Its a job. They have great benefits. Appear to be community oriented and care about their employees.

    Cons

Glass ceiling for minorities. There is definitely a good old boy network. A lot of Nepotism going on and plenty of gray areas where family members of management are making money off the company and kick backs.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention! Don't just say you invest in your people, prove it. There are too many people in their positions who have no idea what they are doing and a substandard skill level. They have only skated by because of the person who works with them.

    Pros

they do provide insurance, paid holidays, and other benefits.

    Cons

you have to wait for several days for information to be sent to you from corporate office that you started emailing and calling people for on a Monday and you still don't have it by 5 on Thursday so that you can get necessary paperwork to farm managers. Also, they tend to have several people working on the same things such as preparing mail to go to the farms & sow cards and they end up going to the wrong place. They pay to bring in people & families to the U.S. from Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras, find them housing, get their utilities turned on, get them social security cards etc. so they can get tax credits then the people get fired or quit 2 weeks later and housing is difficult to find as it is.

    Pros

There is alot of room for advancement. I know several employees who began in low level position who are currently in management. Even if you think that you are going into a field you can live with and enjoy there are tons of opportunities available in other areas. MB has great benefits; medical, dental and vision. They also have great sustainability. They give back to the community and are very involved with volunteer efforts and encourage their employees to do the same.

    Cons

I don't agree with how some employees have been treated, HR has favoritism issues and are not very professional.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to employee complaints in every division. Find out what your HR managers are doing that affect their ability to perform their jobs effectively.
