Pros
the pay is outstanding, commission is great too! It is a very easy and straight forward job. Nothing was too complicated!
Cons
Different managers do things differently, nothing is the same at any gas station. Management finds anything and everything to blame on you. Usually if a manager screws up, its your fault!
Advice to Senior Management
Pick up the slack! some of the management is lazy! They expect the hourly people to do more work and still get out on time.
Pros
Promotion from within.
401k match.
growing company
Cons
poor communication to the field
poor work/home life balance
micro-managed
Advice to Senior Management
Remember the people in the field are working hard. Your choices affect our lives.
Pros
Salary and benefits is all
Cons
No matter how hard you work they don't appreciate
Advice to Senior Management
Care more about the people that are making you the money
Pros
Competitive salary and benefit. Customers like their price .
Cons
Upper management are very unethical and crook !
Advice to Senior Management
Company needs to run a complete exit interview (independently)
Pros
Good commission. It's guaranteed unless you REALLY screw up. Customers are great. Paid trips to Disney World for company meetings.
Cons
My District manager was horrible. When I wasn't being cussed at or criticized in front of other managers, my job was being threatened. The DM I had would fire whoever he felt like and make up lies on the termination so they wouldn't get their unemployment. And when you try to let HR know, they don't do anything about it.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep a strong check on your DM's. Don't let them get away with murder, because you think it's too hard to replace a DM. When someone comes to you and tells you there's a problem, perhaps you should actually investigate it.
Pros
Salary and benefits were okay. Once a year the company had a store manager meeting in Orlando, FL and recognized accomplishments.
Cons
This company is living in the 70's. Employees are expendable. Turnover is very high. Turnover is part of the commission program but rarely discussed. The company goes through great lengths to retain customers but does not show its employees the same respect. The review process is horrible.
Advice to Senior Management
They need to create an "Exit Interview" program and dive into their turnover issue. Understand what the word "respect" means.
Pros
My daily customers are amazing for the most past.
My Manager is pretty good at giving me off the days I need off.
I got 2 raises in the first 90 days.
I like working alone, not having somebody stand over me at all times.
Cons
I make 8.50, it is not at all comparable to the pay at similar jobs in my area.
No over time ever available, my manager does not utilize the store hours allotted by upper management for the weekly schedule. When there was still 12.25 hours available to used towards the store schedule, he just gave me 29 hours, and when another store needed my help because they are short handed, i was unable to accept all the hours they needed me for because it would have put me in over time.
Advice to Senior Management
Honestly, i was reading over others reviews and they say that the benefits are great, i guess thats for the people who are making more than 8.50 a hour and only 29 hours a week. The insurance is not worth what they cost, and those of us who are not upper level can not afford them. Also, some employee perks would be nice, bonuses are a great idea.
Pros
Good benefit packages. Work enviornment is always changing. The people I work with on my level and below are great people who care about their jobs.
Cons
Upper Management doesn't understand the amount of work they put on their employees. Work/Home life balance is non existant. The pay is not competitive with other companies in the same area.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to the employees in the field. You place more work on the field than necessary sometimes. I think that if we felt comfortable with coming forward with issues then it may be better. People are fired when they speak up about issues.
Pros
They only have their benefits going for them.
Cons
Limited advancement, no work life balance, poor leadership
Advice to Senior Management
People are your #1 resource.
Pros
Decent wage, decent employees that is all.
Cons
Gas, Cigs, Snuff, Candy, Trash
Advice to Senior Management
Try creating a better community.
