    Store Manager

    Store Manager (Current Employee)
    Murfreesboro, TN

ProsThey need to revamp their procedures of opening and have enough manpower to complete your task

ConsHave to work to many hours and have so few employees that you have to be the one fill in if someone calls out

Advice to Senior ManagementLook at your Managers, who is a manager and a customer representative and who is just there in the position to draw a check and don't care about customers or the employees. There is way to much turn over in the company

Good Company to work for If you get Superiors that actually practice the Integrity and Morals that the company preaches.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ConsNo work/life balance. Drastic cut of cashiers hours so a bigger turnover rate.

Advice to Senior ManagementToss The Good Ole Boy Network, Hire D.M's and RGM's that "don't" set the tone of what "not" to do, (lie, manipulate, show extreme favoritism for those that brown nose.

    Nepotism ruins the Calgary office

    Accountant (Former Employee)
    Calgary, AB (Canada)

ProsMostly good people and good pay/benefits

ConsCalgary Finance department is managed in order to fill positions with people the managers know or previously worked with. Existing employees are suddenly shown the door when friends and family of management are looking for work. Additionally, I witnessed several management members actively take credit for work their employees did and, conversely, blame their employees when things went sideways. I would avoid the Calgary Finance group as if it had the plague.

Advice to Senior ManagementChange Calgary Finance management team, or risk hurting Canadian operations.

Started great and then it went downhill due to expectations and policies changing randomly.

    Store Manager (Former Employee)

ProsFull-time benefits are good with vacation and medical/optical/dental insurance offered as well as profit sharing/stock options and/or 401k. There are some very excellent people to work with.

ConsThere are different rules for different people. The expectations vary on where you work and who you work for.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet everyone on the same page. Do not allow District/Zone/Regional managers to have different rules for different people.
