    Pros

    Lots of incentives for hourly employees to push the monthly sales items, at least 30 prizes awarded per month throughout the entire company. Very flexible with schedules.

    Cons

    Pushing the sales every month, doing your best, improving sales and not winning anything really brings you down. You start to wonder why you are working so hard.

    Pregnancy is not a handicap, just because someone is pregnant doesn't mean they can't be promoted.

    Pros

    Love all the different people and personality s.Hours are flexible and tend to meet your schedule. Love the mannerism that you are demanded to present.

    Cons

    Making sure theft of gas is in check.All change to customer is exact.The pumps are not pre paid giving the invite to steal money.

    Do not put so much pressure on the employees make a safer more protected place if you as a high ranking manager worked and made it out of the store without theft robbery or death you were lucky but she concern for the young girls you put on nights alone.

    pay is competitive, if payroll gets you in their system...

    No concern about employee well-being, management presence is minimal, cramped shack

    Good customers.. co-workers, district managers, division directors all very pleasant to work with.

    Lack of communication on new policies/practices

    Better benefits for store level management.. make more a uniform way a store is run.. Shouldn't have to relearn everything when filling in at another location.

    Pros

    Paid higher then minimum wage,get a system of regular customers who can make your day, and great contest prizes.

    Cons

    No breaks, too many inconsistencies with the schedule, no employee discounts, rude customers that the company expects you to kiss up too, management whom are obviously unfit to run a store, and lack of proper training.

    Very Flexible schedules, Prize bonuses for exceptional sales of promotion items, Hiring rate is higher than most.

    Cons

    While opportunities for advancement are there is can be a game of who you know and how they like you over how well you do your job. Have seen shady actions by Management on shortages, prizes being given to rightful employees and hours worked. the open door policy is not so open from the stand point of anonymous reporting.

    Be as honest as you expect your employees to be. Work what you let Home Office think you are.

    Pros

    Regular customers make my day. You get paid more than minimum wage.

    Cons

    Assistant managers run the store while Store managers get paid for it. You are promoted because of who you know not what yiu can do. You are not given the chance to show that you can run the store unless a store manager is away, but you dont get paid for standing in as store manager. DM's are rude. When there is a problem its basically a waste of time going to them. Store manages want employees to come into work when they have an emergency. Assistant managers make more at quick Trip. Almost a $10,000 difference which is sad

    Give people a chance. Seeking better management will bring more employees and keep the employees you have. There's a lot of problems within Murphy USA.
