    Pros

*Everyone (coworkers and managers) is willing to help you. *Free movies for you and guests

    Cons

After Carmike Cinemas brought out Muvico, some of the benefits have been reduced or eliminated. There is no more holiday pay and you are only allowed to get 1 guest in for free. When Muvico was independent, you could bring either 2 friends or up to 7 family members during the week .

    Pros

Management was wonderful! I enjoyed working there right out of high school. I gained a lot of customer service experience.

    Cons

The customers seemed to think they can talk to you anyway they feel.

    Advice to Management

Listen to new ideas that younger people have because there were a lot of times where some of my coworkers had great potential lucrative ideas.

  3. Great co workers but all the managers hate their jobs.Always counseled about the thousand policies they have.

    Pros

Fun with the people you work with. The managers are cool when you get close to them. A lot of different things you can do.

    Cons

Always scrutinized by high management for policies and simple things. Coordinators and managers play favorites. Low pay for hard labor. High management are condescending.

    Advice to Management

Stop holding everyone to such a high standard when you are paying minimum wages. Compensate those who work hard. Give raises for those who are trained in other areas. Also, some respect goes a long way every now and again.

    Pros

Great coworkers for the most part, and the managers (albeit miserable) are pretty decent people.

    Cons

The managers seem like they hate their jobs usually. The corporate level makes some poor decisions on things they don't know a lot about (i.e. a bar).

    Pros

Free movies were nice and the atmosphere was more relaxed most of the time.

    Cons

Managers played favorites and hardwork was never recognized, even when reviving the first 100 on a secret shopper for the first time in 5 years there.

    Advice to Management

Improve on the relationship from managers to crew.

    Pros

Great people, free movies, great entry level management job. Learned a lot about discipline and multitasking. Managed over 100 employees at 20 years old. The big premiers were a blast and I had the opportunity to meet some stars.

    Cons

Impossible to promote, hard work gets unnoticed. Low pay. You work with a majority of young kids who's this is their first job, and it shows.

    Advice to Management

Notice those who go above and beyond and show them their contributions matter instead of expecting it.

    Pros

Nice theaters, and the occasional movie was pretty cool.

    Cons

The management was standoffish and at times rude. They basically came in to empty your concession register and left just as quickly. Pay sucks, and the hours sucked even more. The times where you could watch free movies excluded times where you would actually want to see a movie, therefore the best aspect of the job was often cancelled out.

    Advice to Management

Improve your interpersonal skills and realize that your employees are not as replaceable as you think.
