Gained a wealth of experience - good and bad - which will prove valuable as I continue on with my career.

Pros1) Great opportunity for anyone with a passion for sports and a passion for helping others fulfill their dreams by helping them raise much needed funds.
2) Will have the opportunity to gain much hands-on experience.
3) Offers employees good benefits/insurance packages.
4) Pleasant working environment (high level of comradery and friendship among the staff).

Cons1) No opportunity to earn a higher salary (or one that is deserved) due to the size of the business.
2) No opportunity for advancement due to the structure of the company.
3) As a result, very high turnover rate among employees (can prove costly for any small company).
4) As a result, growth of company has been very slow (unfortunately, too many internal issues that have prevented them - and many of their clients - from achieving greater success).

Advice to Senior Management1) Must do a better job of reducing employee turnover (i.e. hiring and retaining good employees).
2) Encourage your employees to take more initiative, and reward those who do.
3) Be more willing to listen and implement ideas and suggestions offered by your employees (helps boost morale, which also helps improve performance and increase productivity in the workplace).
4) Try not to criticize employees when mistakes are made (diminishes an employee's pride or self-esteem, not to mention the fact that it might cause resentment on their part).
5) Avoid trying to do too much with too few employees (Must achieve the right balance...less is more!)

Be Weary

I worked at My Sports Dreams

Pros- Small workplace environment that tends to be laid back and informal, sometimes fun
- Management very flexible about time-off, scheduling
- Young workforce that encourages good teamwork
- They are constantly looking for recent graduates to bring on as interns
- Enables creativity and gives new hires a chance to get their hands dirty early
- Free pizza lunch on Fridays

Cons- Really only a short-term job (very low pay, hard to gain worthwhile experience, no advancement)
- Management tends to be dishonest in terms of future financial opportunities
- Company may be considered unethical in some regards
- Clients are often unhappy with the way they are handled, be prepared for angry phone calls
- You get the feeling that the company could be out of business in a day's moment
- They tend to hire and fire people at a whim, VERY HIGH turnover rate
- In job listings the company positions itself as a "Sports Marketing Firm", but sports or marketing graduates will neither apply nor take away any worthwhile industry experience

Advice to Senior ManagementBe honest and transparent, with both your employees and your clients.
