    I worked at MyNewPlace full-time

    Pros

Low expectations. The perfect 'rebound' job between positions or a great place to get your hands dirty right out of school.

    Cons

    - You will have a new manager every 4 months. - All major decisions are made in Texas(HQ) without substance. - Expect to get paid 30% below market.

    Advice to Management

Give the team the tools to succeed.

I worked at MyNewPlace full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great location right in the heart of downtown (financial district) San Francisco. Lots of fun people to work with, had good health benefits at the time.

    Cons

Started out with a manager who was extremely laid back then had a micro manager. During the interview process the job seemed to be something it wasn't. No real 'training' as a new employee or ongoing, little room for growth or ability to advance...salary makes it REALLY hard to live in the city.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the important things - retaining employees that perform.

    Pros

Nice office, downtown, Financial District with a roof top terrace Stocked kitchen Decent base salary Decent benefits, all paid Great Consumer Marketing Team Smart and effective VP of Marketing

    Cons

They pride themselves in being 3rd best in their industry - what successful company would even consider saying "We're #3!!"??? Month to month agreements invite cancellations from unhappy customers Sales Management style is not conducive to success VP Sales is condescending, threatening and unsupportive Extremely low morale, especially on sales team Customer Support led by the incompetent best friend of the VP Sales - resulting in very high rate of attrition and customer dissatisfaction with product

    Advice to Management

Senior Mangement team (CEO, Investors) should rigorously review Sales and Customer Support Management team. Month to month contracts are not conducive to company growth or success, EVER. Consider a new name and rebranding. MyNewWHAT???

    Pros

Co-workers are all relatively young and fun. Co-workers are there to help others when needed. The place is growing and changing, so my experience might not be like yours.

    Cons

Depending on your department, it is hard to get recognition or really feel like you are working with a cohesive team. Some of the dissatisfaction within the work environment results in high turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Although MyNewPlace prides themselves on being a cohesive group there seems to be some disconnect between upper management and employees. Leadership does not seem to be able to communicate when employees go above and beyond or does a good job. I have rarely seen anyone be promoted, which is disappointing.

    Pros

    - Smart team -Innovative products and ideas -Skilled and hard working management - Employee perks with lunches & stocked kitchen - Good growth opportunity

    Cons

-It's a bit of a start-up environment still -Mediocre vacation policy, which can be frustrating - Medium compensation- not bad, but not as competitive as everyone would like

    Advice to Management

    - Keep up the good work - It's positive and makes it a happy place to work to know that the team keeps expanding - Keep the communication channels open - Keep the team building and teamwork a priority
