    Pros

Most people who work here are very friendly and approachable. It can be a fun place. The company still has a start-up feel to it (but that's one of it's problems too)

    Cons

Little to no support for employee development/growth (won't pay for continuing ed or prof skills training). Benefits are rather poor (just barely added a 5% company match to the 401k and the Combined Time Off is seriously lacking - 15-20 days of combined vaca, sick and personal business all rolled into one. One bad illness, and your vacation time is screwed). Real lack of communication from executives on company vision, direction and product strategy. This is a 16-yr old company that is still acting like a start up. There's real potential here if the company's leadership would just be willing to be real leaders of growth and change and start trusting in their people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a long hard look at how things work today and ask yourselves if these tactics are going to work to propel this business to the next level. Then have the courage to make the changes necessary to grow this business into what it could still become.

    Pros

GREAT, smart people. The culture is friendly and nurturing. Trying to stay on top of the technology trends.

    Cons

Micromanagement from mid to top level managers get in the way and prevent people from being able to do their jobs to the best of their ability. "Old boys club" mentality in some departments - people who have been around since the beginning get the better jobs and have more clout whether or not they deserve it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Step back and let your people do the job - as managers you should be setting strategic vision and managing. Look at all of your people, not just the "old school." Change can be a good thing!

Nice company overall, but organizational structure and limited opportunities for employee growth drive good people out.

    Pros

Good people, collaborative culture overall, pays well, great physical work space, industry leader in multiple I/T solutions for the industry space. New processes being put in place have helped.

    Cons

Training programs for new employees does not exist, salary increases are very rare for most employees,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More transparency on strategic goals and the business roadmap would be a good start. Focus more on continually improving core platforms to benefit most clients, as opposed to overloading resources on customizable solutions to benefit a smaller group of clients.

    Pros

MWG values smart people who get the job done and doesn't hold on to folks who aren't performing. It's not a place to work if your career aspirations are to coast under the radar. The technology used in development is current and engineering is encouraged to find the right technology for the solution - no sacred cows about which technology is to be used.

The people are wonderful and an orientation of contributing to each others' success is prevalent.

    Cons

There are so many projects with aggressive timelines that you consistently feel under the gun. There is very little downtime to refactor and improve code which has already shipped.

The aggressive timeline impacts our ability to hire folks who don't have the exact skill set sought because we're moving too fast to train folks up.

Lack of a 401k match and short term disability are black marks on an otherwise good benefits package.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Actively foster communications across the company - as we've grow this has suffered somewhat.

    Cons

I have been working at MyWebGrocer full-time

    Pros

MyWebGrocer has a very relaxed but fast paced work environment which is filled with very supportive, smart, and friendly co-workers. Every day you are learning something new which keeps each day interesting. One of the best parts about being apart being a part of this growing company is opportunity for career growth.

MyWebGrocer also has different wellness activities (yoga, zumba, a ski team, etc.) on and off-site for employees to be a part of; they also take part of a handful of local fundraising events. It nice to be able to have the option to participate in the opportunities they have to offer.

    Cons

Starting Pay could be more competitive and doesn't match 401K

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Match 401K

    Pros

Casual work environment, fast paced, very competitive salaries, upward mobility, open door policy with executive team/management, top notch facility, free parking, on-site wellness activities, affordable medical plan and the sharpest co-workers I have ever worked with.

    Cons

No employer 401K match/contribution or company paid short-term disability.

    Pros

Technology Stack and Tools are Modern
    Very Solid Engineering Team
    Offices are really nice
    Very fast growth
Not a sweat shop (and I've worked at 2)

    Cons

Could move faster in software development - too much waiting for customers and feedback.
Company strategy is held too tightly - engineering needs more information about company direction and planning.
Limited flexibility in working from home

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company doesn't spend enough time on building internal tools - very focused on customer side.
