    I have been working at Myers Industries full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The company is continuously growing! Pay and benefits are adequate and there are many perks. Many friendly people.

    Cons

    Hire inexperience before promoting from within. Poor work ethic is ignored. Lack of follow-thru with management. Problems are not addressed.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to and INVESTIGATE & ADDRESS employee concerns & complaints. Offer Rewards, incentives & growth potential for employees that go above & beyond.

    Having some indepenence on the job, working with the public

    Not being treated fairly, not keeping their word, lying to employees, misrepresenting themselves

    Pros

    Flexibility for appointments. Usually out by 5. Can usually take lunches off. Free tickets to some events (if you win a raffle) for the Cavs and Indians suites. My job has diverse tasks (prevents boredom). Freedom to use the internet judiciously.

    Cons

    Not competitive pay. Limited women in senior leadership. Limited ability to move up. Raises and reviews are given with no discussion. Raises are capped. 401K "match" program is terrible.

    Advice to Management

    Stop micromanaging. When you cut your employees raise caps, don't give the CEO a huge raise above that cap! Employee morale is terrible. People aren't leaving because the economy is down, but they will when it improves. You are willing to do the things needed to improve morale and the company and instead want to keep the same old school manufacturing mentality.

    Pros

    Great benefits Staff is great to work with Flexible with family and personal matters

    Cons

    Corporate driven, doesn't suit our customers needs and is causing decline in sales. Micro management Poor communication Advancement opportunities don't arise frequently
