I have been working at NACR full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

With the right account, you'll have a tremendous account team and leadership support to make money.

    Cons

You won't get a lot of support with training and prospecting so if you don't already have your account base, you likely won't make it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more programs in place to help Account Managers to be more successful with net new prospecting and not just "leads" from other sources that don't qualify the leads well.

I have been working at NACR full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good technical opportunity, there are some good employees there. There is a broad range of technologies to learn.

    Cons

You really are just a number here. Upper management really only cares about utilization, above all else. So it really ends up quantity, not quality. They are also passive aggressive, and though it seems harsh to make the comparison, there are a lot of similarities to the movie Office Space. Employee morale seems low, it's not a fun environment to work in. It's actually quite stressful. I was going to compare it to prisoner's and prison guards, but it's probably more accurate to compare it to school teachers and students.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't treat your employee's like children. Have integrity. Follow through with what you say, and don't side-step what you perceive as "bad news." Secrets don't build trust, they don't show you think you're employees are adults, and they build a hostile work environment. Don't use passive aggressive techniques. Look past the numbers to the content. White lies are just as bad as any other. I would definitely not recommend a friend to work for NACR.

I have been working at NACR full-time

    Pros

A lot of talented people to work with. They have a strong presence among some of the largest companies. Pretty good compensation and training opportunities.

    Cons

This is an industry that is getting away from having vendors provide on site service work, resulting in a lot of downtime for the field technician

I worked at NACR full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

A high moral compass and leadership that inspires you to be the best. Great place for highly motivated individuals that don't ever want to be held back or limited. Good work life balance and no micro-management. Great internal resources. Lots of superstars!

    Cons

Very slow to promote and felt like their potential best interests were being prioritized rather than my need for growth (which is why I left).

I have been working at NACR full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great resources, talented people, solid customer and referral base of highly visible, large customers.- flexible work schedule

    Cons

VERY poor internal systems, need growth management assistance, sales, support, service, app dev, all are separate "silos" -- very difficult to perform simple tasks with excessive "red tape"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Break down silos-utilize technology available to streamline processes empowering employees to provide best in class customer service--- become a technology company --not a telecom company

I have been working at NACR full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good growth company with a lot of Avaya depth. From a business stand point NACR has a good range of technology, and they are able to deliver on professional and managed services. They allow for telecommuting, and have reasonable benefits.

    Cons

Employee development is not good. NACR is a flat organization with little upside. Depending on location morale will vary, I would not call this an employee friendly company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on your people they are talented. Make sure that talent doesn't get rusty. More transparency.

I have been working at NACR

    Pros

If you live in the area not a bad commute. Other than than not much you can say about the company

    Cons

not competitive in salary, outdated management thinking, unfriendly work environment, everyone afraid to speak,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

look at the people you have working for your company. stop hiring family and friends. promote employees who want to learn and move ahead. Any pay a decent salary so perhaps people that work that can afford to contribute to 401 or health insurance. get rid of upper management that still believe that they are still in the service.
