I worked at NAPA Auto Parts full-time

    Pros

This is a great company with lots of room for growth. I loved my time as an employee and would recommend them to anyone.

    Cons

None really if you work hard and do what is asked of you, management will notice you. Hard work means advancements.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the work and listen to employees they are the ones on the front lines. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to work for you.

I worked at NAPA Auto Parts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pretty easy work, very flexible and lenient manager, fixed scheduled times just not same over schedule every week. A lot of day was inside where A/C is so it isn't half bad. Getting paid to drive around most of the time.

    Cons

Putting away the shipment. Working with people that do not pull their own weight. Constant complaining, pay could be better.

    Advice to Management

    Pay higher and promote faster.

    Pros

Career advancement, higher salaries than most competitors, work and life balance.

    Cons

Part-time really means just that. Full time positions is where you want to be.

    Advice to Management

Allow the employers the benefit of being able to work at more than one Napa at a time. Raise the salary cap for drivers and by all means remove the outdated, no ac, high mileage health hazards from every Napa parking lot.

I worked at NAPA Auto Parts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Competitive pay, great supplier support, continued training, room for advancement. District & operations managers promoted from within which means they're always willing to pitch-in to help because they've been in your position and respect what you do.

    Cons

Corporate can't stop talking about the importance of customer service but won't allow proper staffing levels in the store to achieve it. Store managers spend 85% of their time as a counter person instead of being allowed to manage the store. This takes focus away from important tasks such as (but not limited to) being able to cultivate employees, visit wholesale customers, be available to support counter staff, find ways to better manage P&L, organize promotions, & investigate inventory discrepancies.

    Advice to Management

Stop focusing on the overtime dollar amount the company spends and find out how much sales are increased because of those overtime dollars. When you pay talented people for a few extra overtime hours a week, sales aren't lost to customers who consistently expect the best service.
