Current Employee – been working at NAPA Auto Parts full-time for more than a year
Pros – Well established system. Locations around the country.
Cons – Never Any Parts Available... Inventory is not well maintained in surrounding DCs.. Consistanly outsourcing parts to keep sales in-house. No rewards for hard work. Those who do little collect the same as those who genuinely care and strive for customer satisfaction, while doing others' job duties. Also, "employee pricing" is a joke, not much of a benefit in comparison to wholesale accounts.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay attention to who is truly doIng what. See where responsibilities are being delegated/handed down to lesser payed individuals with no end reward. Laziness within the company hurts the company.

Former Employee – worked at NAPA Auto Parts full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Pay is good that's the only good thing!
Cons – You have to be a YES MAN you can't voice your opinion !!!!!!
When you take an account from $50,000 a year to $204,0000 a year then they tell you, you can't get paid on all of it because you will get paid too much money!!! If your a Mexican and know more than the managers they make it a point to put you down every chance they get!! This started happening in 2010 when the new owner took over!!
Advice to Senior Management – Your not better than everyone!!! You don't know everything!! Show respect to get respect!!!

Former Employee – worked at NAPA Auto Parts full-time for more than a year
Pros – Personally, I had an awesome manger who leads by example. I've was exposed to new technology and was been given the keys to kingdom of growing opportunity. My hours were flexible and was an asset to the GPC team. Benefits are on par with any other Fotune X company. Training programs for career advancement are promoted. Again personally my manager strived for an equal work/life balance.
Cons – There still isn't an official remote/work-from-home policy. My guess is the C-level executives don't trust their employees. Salaries are below the national average for most, if not all, technology positions. Depending on the team and manager, your employment experince for GPC can be a nightmare. Some managers severely micro-manage their teams and clock-count every second they're in or out of the office. There's also a bit of red tape getting the tools needed to complete job tasks, even if its in the best interest of the company. Remember the training I mentioned in the Pro's? Actually getting a signature for said training is next to impossible.
Advice to Senior Management – Work from home policy; get on it or people will look for positions elsewhere. Get the taining quotes signed so the employees can stay at the top of their class. Don't be afraid to cut people if they're not pulling their weight.

Pros – Pay is just above average with annual raises. Good stock price.
Cons – Politics is a big role. Management only listens to what they want to hear. Traditional company that needs to change with the times. They never take employees' suggestions for improvement. It is micromanaged at the lower level. They keep you in the same job and never want to move you into another based on hard work. The ones that throw people under the bus are the ones that get promoted. Some managers are good while some are not. The bad ones will inflate the actual facts to turn in to upper management. The job you have is the same one you will retire in if you stay that long. Your career will be over if you work with this company. Benefits are cut on an annual basis. Pension fund just recently got frozen which probably gave the top execs a big bonus for meeting the numbers for income. I would give a star rating of ZERO if it were available.
Advice to Senior Management – Value your employees and listen to the suggestions to improve the processes. Train your employees on the latest software and technology and allow them to be innovative with this technology. Upgrade your HR programs that give rank and file employees a career path doesn't include the same department they work in all the time. If they work in a support role they should have access to a program that can lead to a different role for the employee.
