    Cons

    Advice to Management

Take care of your workers, the stockholders will benefit from this too.

    Pros

The hours are okay overall. I'm currently a full time employee. The pay is decent for the work. I would not consider this as a career path.

    Cons

Unreasonable expectations. Very low moral. People coming into the store and new hires can see this very quickly. Very little communication between anyone especially management and employees. Many of the employees don't care about their job (no work ethic).

    Advice to Management

Communicate and even involve employees with decisions regarding their work area. Treat employees like people not commodities to be used and thrown aside when they break.

    Chronically understaffed and underpaid.

    Pros

Discounts on auto parts, which is needed because we can't afford to repair our cars.

    Cons

Understaffed due to low wage and high work hours. Upper management expects countermen and manager to run outside sales and accounts receivable.

    Advice to Management

Pay us more! We want to care but when the Carl's Jr. across the street pays its cooks more than us, we start to consider a career change.

    Pros

Almost impossible to get fired unless you get caught stealing.

    Cons

Rapidly becoming the same as competitors like Advance and Autozone.

    Advice to Management

People shop at Napa because they want better quality parts than the competitors offer. Stop trying to be like the competition. Innovate, don't imitate!

    Pros

Huge range of parts in stock for most vehicles. Daily parts shuttles from Milwaukee and Chicago warehouses for parts not in stock.

    Cons

Occasional inaccuracies in parts inventory. Lack of ordered parts search program for employees stating where parts were ordered from.

    Advice to Management

Implement ordered parts search program for faster access of WHERE parts were ordered from.

  9. NAPA sure don't know how to keep employees.
