    Pros

Great company to work due to their great benefits, great staff perks and incentives such as free company luncheons and holiday socials monthly, company paid training courses and skills classes monthly, and friendly employees.

    Cons

loan servicing management team is very unskilled, lacking knowledge of loan servicing duties, and unable to properly train employees thereby expecting them to learn their own duties with no direction; quick to delegate work but unwilling to learn positions of their own department therefore not able to assist employees; not open or willing to hear or listen to suggestions of senior dept employees to keep dept workflow under control; lacking empathy, moral, and appreciation for departmental employees but steadily piling on duties of which management has no knowledge of themselves inevitably causing employees to leave shrinking dept by half. Credit unions salaries are not competitive and management looks for reasons not to give hard working employees salary increases leaving them for years with the same salary and more duties.

    Advice to Management

For a company to thrive and reduce turnover rate, management must learn the duties of their own department before assigning a seasoned employee to figure it out thereby causing them unfair stress and anguish. Become cross-trained and knowledgeable of your own departmental duties and lead your department by example, not just by delegation and authority. Do not bully your employees with the threat of unemployment if they become stressed with the burden of figuring out a job that they neither applied for nor are being compensated for. Remember, Karma is real and as everybody's address.

Time off policies are standardized for the entire organization. Scheduling time off is coordinated by department managers.

    Pros

Several locations in the Prince George's County MD area, hiring process from initial application to offer letter took roughly 3 weeks. Good 401K match to 6%, some friendly folks in different departments. NASA Federal always has new employee hiring days each month and they bring in food. You certainly won't go hungry working here.

    Cons

Room for growth. As a Call Center Rep with prior experience in Consumer Lending, it took 8 months before I touched my first loan. Trying to advance to a different department seemed like a challenge, however, if your "buddy buddy" with the right people, there is plenty of room to grow. Lunches were only 30 mins and the breaks were one 10 min break and one 5 min break. Call Center agents need more than than in my opinion. A 45 minute lunch and one 15 min break would increase employee morale.

    Advice to Management

Listen to how your employees feel and actually bring it to upper management.
