    Pros

Treated well, given opportunities to sit in on interesting meetings. Everyone is friendly and its a nice building.

    Cons

Not really any I can think of, although I was an intern so Im not sure how much I would have seen that could be bad.

    Pros

I have had the chance to work with some fantastic people here. People are energized, passionate, and fully committed to what they're doing. The company is doing its best to anticipate and even embrace disruptive change, although this mostly happens at a local level -- Agile product development, particular individuals spearheading new approaches. To their credit, this is a company that puts a high value on integrity, on Doing the Right Thing, and on creating a safe and diverse workplace.

    Cons

On the other hand, as one might expect for a large corporation, owned by a larger corporation, there can often be a lot of red tape to get through, especially where legalities are involved. Having operated a startup-like project within the organization, we also found it sometimes difficult to get support from other verticals within the rest of the company. The structures for technical information sharing are underdeveloped. Also, while there has been a stated interest in innovation and disruption, the mechanisms chosen to solicit and implement new ideas have not been the most conducive to gathering and testing a diversity of ideas.

    Advice to Management

Allow the desire for innovation to call into question all aspects of the organization, even (and especially) the most entrenched.

    Pros

If you're someone who likes to be around news, up to date on everything going on in the world and down the street, and enjoys the hunt of a story, this is for you...depending on your job.

    Cons

Schedules aren't very flexible, but you knew that when you started.

    Pros

You're not saving lives, you're making TV. Pretty good benefits. Lots of sick days, floating holidays, vacation time, etc..

    Cons

Hard to move up. Everyone wants your job so everyone stays put and paid below your deserved wage, but that seems to be

    Advice to Management

Pay better attention to who is in VP and SVP roles. These guys tend to be creative road blocks and set in their ways.

    Pros

The page program is a very prestigious program. It allows you to get you foot in the media industry. It also provides you with great connections and experience to successfully launch your career at NBC.

    Cons

Salary is not very good. Unless your parents are helping you out financially, it is not easy to support yourself. However, overtime hours are offered and they definitely help paying the bills.

    Pros

The atmosphere is fast paced and the people are a lot of fun to work with. Working in a landmark building means never getting lost and always getting food delivered to the right place. Literally in the heart of the city, everything you need is right there.

    Cons

With so many employees, it's easy to feel invisible. Tourists make getting into the building a trial, especially during the Christmas season.

    Advice to Management

Little perks make us feel like we belong and make it more enjoyable to work there.
