    Pros

Working for 16-20 television broadcast stations across the nation. Great Medical benefits. Brand new 75,000 sq. foot broadcast center.

    Cons

Dead End Job with an overnight shift. Repetitive unchallenging recreation and correcting other designers work. Bad or misrepresented Leadership from management. Very little personal growth. Working for 16-20 television station across the nation with constant updates. In-house studio lighting is too bright with a possible OSHA violation. All Growth and career advancement happens in NBC Universal New York not Texas. Non-Union shop and salaries are a bit low.

NBC Peacock Productions: Corporate environment, but good benefits and reasonable hours

Current Employee - TV Producer  in  New York, NY
Current Employee - TV Producer in New York, NY

    Pros

Working at Rockefeller Center has many amenities and conveniences. The hiring managers, and Executive Producers, are experienced, mature, and OLDER than 40 for the most part. It seems like a place where a mature and experienced person can thrive, as opposed to many of the other production shops in town that seem to want to hire just out of college, inexperienced people at lower pay scales.

    Cons

The position is freelance, and only gets renewed for 12-13 weeks at a time. However there are some people who have remained there for over 2-3 years at this project by project basis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the people that you like best by offering them staff positions.
Get better at selling projects to create more work. There is a lot of talent here, and Peacock Productions should be producing more projects.
