    Pros

Great benefits, Comcast is investing in the company, culture is generally very professional & positive

    Cons

Needed changes can be slow at times due to many levels of decision-makers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it easier for people to advance outside of their business unit. For as long as I worked at NBC I had very limited contact with those outside my business unit unless I specifically sought out networking with them.

    Pros

Good environment, excellent properties and managers who seem to legitimately try to balance staff's goals with the overall goals of the department and company

    Cons

Would like more access to other properties, more mobility

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you're doing by reaching out to employees with town halls and so forth. But would also be good if it appeared that these conversations went both ways, they can feel one-sided

    Pros

Depends on where in the massive conglomerate that is NBC's. My office had a fabulous talented, funny and hardworking people. Great networking lots of little fun perks.

    Cons

Keeping your position alive is always on your mind. TV is a fickle industry and it's amplified at this network is my general feeling.

    Pros

It was a great place to work. I had an internship at NBC and my supervisors were really helpful in preparing me to get a job after the internship was over.

    Cons

There weren't really any cons other than that I didn't get the actual job. However, that was because they were on a hiring freeze.

  6.

    Great!

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Was in the NYC office and loved how many opportunities were there. Got the opportunity to meet someone new and learn something new on a daily basis! Everyone was very friendly and there are simply so many different assets within NBCUniversal that you are bound to find a fit.

    Cons

Was really large in size and gets hard to navigate at times. There is also a lot of politics and layers of approval so some things that should be easy become difficult.

Former Employee - Ad Sales Intern in New York, NY

    Pros

There were lots of opportunities to learn about the company as a whole
    Tons of fun events

    Cons

Not so much attention on me learning about the specific job I was hired for
    A lot of down time

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not everyone should manage an intern!! Many people are too busy and will leave the intern bored and feeling useless.

    Pros

Working for 16-20 television broadcast stations across the nation. Great Medical benefits. Brand new 75,000 sq. foot broadcast center.

    Cons

Dead End Job with an overnight shift. Repetitive unchallenging recreation and correcting other designers work. Bad or misrepresented Leadership from management. Very little personal growth. Working for 16-20 television station across the nation with constant updates. In-house studio lighting is too bright with a possible OSHA violation. All Growth and career advancement happens in NBC Universal New York not Texas. Non-Union shop and salaries are a bit low.
