I worked at NBCUniversal full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Benefits. Great for inexperienced recent college grads.

    Cons

Their entire HR and Talent Acquisition team has recently resigned or was forced to leave. They are promoting multiple inexperienced people into managerial positions along with recent college grads into staff roles due to lack of staff and play it up as an opportunity for growth. Work life balance is non existent. Morale is low. Turnover is incredibly high in HR & Talent Acquisition. Huge red flag for anyone considering.

    Pros

Benefits day 1 and great 401K

    Cons

It's safe to say when the entire HR staff is resigning or forced to leave, a red flag should be raised to anyone considering.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of playing the bureaucracy game of who can brown nose the VPs the most, really assess management and the talent you are bringing on board as opposed to last resort promotions.

    Worst place I've ever worked.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    I worked at NBCUniversal

    Pros

Good salary, stability, thats pretty much it. And the good salary is not worth it, you'll be depressed pretty much the first day you step in that place.

    Cons

So many dead weight who gets in the way of you actually doing your job. You just feel that you're surrounded by idiots who are "managers" and "VPs" just because they're there the longest. Everybody's throwing each other under the bus to get promoted. It's just hell!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get away of all the dead weight and hire people with a minimum amount of notion of what they're doing and who respects other people. You'll never hold real talent the way it is right now.

    I worked at NBCUniversal

    Pros

Great location. The lot is nice and the proximity of the theme park and city walk is convenient.

    Cons

I observed that upper management was often unorganized and had difficulty managing their departments.
