All I have to say is that working on the set of Law and Order SVU as a production assistant was as if it felt surreal

I worked at NBCUniversal part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

great atmosphere and the regular consistent employees that work for NBC Universal are all there to help with anything that you as a new comer may need help with.

    Cons

The only and I mean THE ONLY con about this career choice is when you're first starting off as a "sub PA" and the amount of time you need to put into this path for the little amount that you get in compensation. Other than that it's the perfect career for an energetic and enthusiastic person.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management can keep on keeping on with what they're doing after all it's because of the higher-ups that this show stayed on the air for so long.

I have been working at NBCUniversal as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The internship program here at NBCU is absolutely phenomenal. I consider myself lucky every single day that I come into work because of the unprecedented exposure to people and information, the warm company culture that I feel a part of (even as just an intern), the unparalleled networking opportunities with fellow interns and higher up employees, the resourcefulness of Campus 2 Career who make it their mission to make the internship program an enjoyable one, and the added on benefits of discount tickets, studio tours, panels/seminars, and more. I would recommend an internship at NBCU to any and all college students who are passionate about the industry.

    Cons

I wish it were possible to intern more than just 2 or 3 days a week, but that's ultimately the way it needs to be in order for each department to have - at least - 2 interns.

    Pros

    great benefits, compensation and perks

    Cons

They look outside the company instead of promoting personnel. The only reason why I'm leaving is because after almost 8 years on the job cant no longer wait for empty promises for a promotion.
