I have been working at NCB as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good banking exposure in terms on IT systems, applications, infrastructure, etc. Good working environment and friendly and professional colleagues.

    Cons

Too much politics and nepotism, not an equal opportunity employer, great for starters but not good for people looking for career development. A lot of wastes (improper resource allocation, confusion in job position and actual function, lack of talent recognition, poor planning, hasty decision making and lack of management continuity).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide equal opportunity to all employees regardless of nationality, age, and sex. Encourage middle and senior managers in developing the careers of their subordinates. Improve people management, planning, and decision making.

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

The benefits are there: Health, insurance, allowances. Also there is a staff association that is dedicated to the needs of the staff. Exposure to various categories of client help equip you to deal with people of any economic background and an excellent way to network.

    Cons

Although they have a training school, the rotation of staff who attend the training school is extremely slow. Extremely competitive environment, so if you are docile individual, this is not the place for you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Send staff to annual training for the benefit of the company. Encourage more internship so that people leaving school can make an educated choice of entering into the banking sector.
