I have been working at NCH full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good work/life balance, talented coworkers, on site gym and cafe, upper management seems to listen, many people have worked here 10, 20 or 30+ years. Good insurance benefits. Generous incentives and bonuses - they do reward hard working, smart people here. I enjoy my job at NCH.

    Cons

The IT department could be a little better - I'm still running Excel 2003 on my computer. Some people do have Excel 2010, so I guess we are all being slowly upgraded. There are multiple systems to learn, and no real training on how to use them when you are first hired. You will need to teach yourself a lot. Some of the furnishings and equipment (like phones) are probably 20 years old, but it's a minor issue.

I have been working at NCH full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Autonomy to make impactful decisions - Lean environment allows associates to gain experience and take on stretch assignments - Family oriented culture

    Cons

    - Culture not for everyone - if you are used to a lot of resources and huge support teams, this is not the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Continue to allow your associates to help shape the future of the organization through innovation.

    Pros

Multinational company present in more than 55 countries. Family-oriented. Treats its employees as the most valued resource, empowering them to promote changes, large and small in order to achieve its goals

    Cons

No age limit on hiring. Basic salary may be lower than the industry and rewards the hard working with above the line commission and other benefits.

    Advice to Management

Continue to improve on finding ways and means to provide the support needed by the employees in order to reach their full potential, both in income and career.

    Pros

NCH as a company is great! The people are some of the best I have worked with.

    Cons

Management does not know what they are doing. They will lie on your review if they do not like you. They believe in deliverables only, they do not care about quality. It was not always this way.

    Advice to Management

Treat people with respect. Be honorable, if you do not like them, do not lie on them. Quality code is important, because that is less support you will have to do. Do not worry about checking off your list only.
