The McDonald's of the Call Centre Industry

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee)

I worked at NCO Financial full-time for more than a year

ProsYou can get consistently 40 hours of work per week, and their health insurance plan isn't too bad. Fellow employees are friendly and nice to work with.

ConsNever ending turnover in Management. High burnout and turnover among employees. Boring and Repetitive job. They need to have managers who are willing to stay in the position and help improve the organization.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry doing more for your employees, like increasing pay and providing more incentives.

I worked at NCO Financial

ProsIt was easy, and you don't really have to have a work history, so it's a good starter job.

ConsThere will be a lot of customers complaining about issues you can do nothing about, but that's the nature of the job.

I was laid off from NCO due to consistent down sizing in the AZ office. In 2010 call centers were facing huge lay offs.

ProsGreat people, decent benefits, flexibility, pleasant atmosphere. Expect constant change, if you can handle that, then its a good environment for you.

Constant turnaround

Management (Former Employee)
Virginia Beach, VA

I worked at NCO Financial full-time for more than 8 years

ProsSome nice people to work with and flexable hours for employees who have gained seniority.

ConsLow wages are the norm and raises have not been given for over five years. The employee turn around rate is stagering. The pace that is set is very hard to maintain and their standards and expectations are quite high for the amount of pay they offer.

Advice to Senior ManagementShow appreciation to the employees even if its just verbally.
