    Pros

Telecommute and decent PTO. HQ is in a location with a lot of shops and restaurants.

    Cons

Culture and leadership leaves a lot to be desired. There is no work life balance and the senior leadership expects too much for too little pay. Honestly this is a short stop to spring into something more rewarding. Attrition rate is terrible on my team.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like humans and not androids that can work 24/7.

    Pros

Excellent vacation time, good pay, managers are caring and good to work with. I have zero bad things to say about working for NCR at this point, a few months in. We had team outings to dave and busters, NCR threw a party for new hires at an Atlanta brewery, and works to make sure you're comfortable in your new position. My manager cares about our work/life balance, works with us on vacation days and works right there with us. I work in software, and can't comment on other parts of the company, but my work environment makes me enjoy working here, and I look forward to work, and to the people I work with. I couldn't be happier overall.

    Cons

The healthcare coverage is average at best.... Duluth is a ways a way from most tech companies, and is away from downtown Atlanta, where most businesses like this are.

    Advice to Management

Encourage more team building outings. As a new hire, I made friends with my coworkers in short time because of that, and the uncomfortability of working with new people in a new place was eliminated.

    Pros

    very laid back work environment.
individual goals and objectives are clearly laid out.
    flexible work hours.

    Cons

my initial offer was a low-ball to see if I would take it.
I worked long hours and received work calls even when on paid time off.
    many leadership and org changes
    medical benefits decreased each year.

    Advice to Management

if you expect employees to work long hours proper compensation is in order.

    Pros

NCR's people are the best. They are willing to help and guide you if something goes wrong. They make the workplace a place you want to go everyday and do not isolate you if you are new hire.

    Cons

NCR did not provide any training which was unfortunate because my manager did not even have enough time to thoroughly explain what he wanted from me.

    Pros

It's a paycheck. Depending on your job grade you can start with three weeks vacation

    Cons

They work tons of hours , management says they care about the employees, but actions don't support that claim
. They offer bonuses but don't pay them.

    Advice to Management

Treat people with respect. Stop managing by fear. There are other places to work in Georgia.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

It's a much bigger, diverse and technology-advanced world than Dayton Ohio. Come out of your conservative, segregated perspectives and embrace the New World around you, NCR! Tired, leave or move over and let CEO, BIll Nuti lead the way.

    Pros

hybrid / electric vehicle parking with no power , short commute

    Cons

Lack of work life balance , Micromanagement, Trust, Penny Pinching, questionable accounting practices, Lack of career growth , Lack of innovation, company possibly on the market, more management than contributors, and an Open work environment that creates more confusion rather than collaboration. 1970's management style from the North. Upper management displays aggressive (yelling & belittling employees) management style to encourage results. Most employees are looking for an exit .

    Advice to Management

Resign and bring in qualified talent.

  11. NCR is a great place to work if you plan on retiring there. It is however not a great place to grow.

    Pros

The benefits were very good. Also, the team that I worked with was very knowledgeable. NCR appears to be one of those places that a person can work at and retire from because there are a lot of people who have been there 20+ years.

    Cons

There were not a lot of opportunities to grow as an individual. In order to become better at my craft I needed to focus on that myself. Also, management does not appear to know what they are doing most of the time.
