    Pros

    I do not have any pros to talk about this company. This company really deserve every single negative reviews listed here.

    Cons

    - I do see people getting promoted every year or two years just because they know their Manager
    - Employees first, customer second ... said no one ever
    - If some one becomes the manager then they just work on outlook to delegate the tasks by sending emails or shouting match
    - Politics, Politics..Politics. They play around with the resources.
    - Poor work environment
    - Micro-management ... and loud shoutings

    GET RID OF MANAGERS WHO DO NOT DELIVER!!

    Pros

    Reasonably ok Cafeteria, air conditioning, washrooms are clean
    Wide experience working in different projects for different clients
    Example of a government company.. can definitely retire here

    Cons

    low salary, no growth, lots of work.
    Hard work never compensated in terms of aspiration grooming and salary hike
    Don't expect you will be recognized for innovative ideas.
    Most management do not know to speak decent english
    focus on terminating employee than trying to place them in other projects
    unless you really really have no other option, never prefer this company... and plan to leave it asap. there is no carreer growth. do not spoil your career by joining this god forsaken company .

    Listen to employees
    Stop behaving cheap
    Take care of your employees if you want to retain good talent.
    Give proper hike or else good resources will leave.

    Pros

    nothing much other than not bad working hours, compensation for claims, benefits for phone and health

    Cons

    politics here and there, poor management, leader slack like hell not giving concern to employees, low salary, very low salary increment, no job advancement, no future

    concern your employees and train them or else nobody will value your company.

    There is a security guard at the glass door at Block C Level 8.So, programmer can work very safely.

    Cons

    No Internet access for workstations and programmers find it difficult to resolve issues.

    Manager need to learn such as 1. Providing freedom to employee 2. How to build a team. 3.Encouraging 4. Treating each employee not just equally but fairly 5.Dishing out frequent public praise 6. Creating opportunities

    Pros

    challenging work environment
    Big company. ok pay and benefits.
    Learning is good and one would get lot of Exposure

    Cons

    Worst place for a developers to start their career. In short, you would be treated like a slave if you join NCS as entry level or contractor or contract (worse... sub contract). You will always have to be in your managers good book if you want to save your job, performance does not matter.
    No empowerment to make decisions or in any case, think. Everyone is geared to become a cog

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The management should rethink they way bids and projects are planned. You cannot hide incompetencies in planning / bidding by forcing everyone to do OT and working on weeknd.

    Typically there is seldom any company in glassdoor who score below 50% - I thought NCS infamous rating was overrated.

    I was wrong. You deserve it.

    Pros

    Some employees can come late and leave on time without much repercussion
    Generally ok work - 90% of the time the job only requires warm body to man the station

    Cons

    Low pay in general
    Attrition is high
    good people are laving
    company is left with incompetent people whom after some years got promoted
    repeat the cycle
    promotion is rare and really really really depends on your luck (aka which boss do you end up with)

    pay your slaves well
    pay for OT not so much for fairness but for you to see how incompetent your Presales/bid team/ PMs are when doing their job - underbidding, lousy estimations, poor planning are happening again and again because such mistakes never get reflected in P&L - EVER. Grunts suffers and need to sacrifice a lot to compensate for such incompetence or shrewdness

    once you get a permanent position, you wont get fired, unless you are so bad.
    Nice team mates
    entry salary is high compared to the market

    Cons

    salary increases slow
    unprofessional
    many team leaders do not have leadership or technical background

    Pros

    Good work life balance, you come on time, go back on time. Anything official after hour, will be compensated accordingly. Individual Development Planning provide chances for employee's to go for external courses with certifications. CEO never tired of writing communication email to communicate company directions and achievements globally every week. Strong parent company (SingTel) assure your job security. Cost cutting hurts globally but benefits Malaysians. Onshore (Australia) counterparts are helpful and very expert in what they do. Pantry filled with coffee machine, tea bags, milo powder, sugar, and unlimited supplies of biscuits.

    Cons

    As usual, money is never enough because it's not an oil & gas industry. Minuscule HR team can't cope with the whole SingTel/NCS staff in NCSI (Malaysia), leaving staff neglected in terms of Team Building, moral and mental support, as well as company wide notification ( we used to get emails when someone in the company gave birth, or death, etc)

    Please consider spectacles allowance, options for flexible 3rd month paid maternity leave and don't be biased when doing salary adjustments (do it globally instead of just Singapore HQ)

    Good bonus, friendly colleague, good enough facilities, good location

    Cons

    Low basic salary, hard to ask for pay rise, a lot of works to do.. a lot i mean really a lot.
    Hardly appreciate by your manager.
    Not a good place for career advancement
