    Pros

    In-house canteen, lunchtime shuttle to shopping malls and clubhouse (if you have time to use it)

    Cons

    HR seemingly takes care of other people's welfare, but ours are not well taken care of. Management style makes working here mentally draining and affects morale. Efforts seldom recognized but mistakes amplified. High turnover rate in recent years.

    Advice to Management

    Having many activities or events does not necessarily improve engagement. Please think of long term value add initiatives that impacts employees' life instead of one-off events that provides photos for publicity. A good leader that empowers and setting the right workplace culture naturally buys the heart of people.

    I have been working at NCS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Flexi-benefit, 18 days leave. There's lots of activities for bonding with fellow colleagues e.g. Amazing NCS.

    Cons

    Middle management playing too much politics to make themselves look good to their bosses. First in claiming credit but refuse to help out when you face problems. They will ask you for your solution to the problems you bring to them. You'll be badly rated if your solution didn't manage to resolve the problem and make them look bad on their bosses. No job guidance at all. Harsh environment. You'll be expected to bang and fall until you know how to get things done around. Expect a lot of judgements and false accusations. Poor Worklife balance. There's multiple ocassions we were called back to work on Sat / Sun and the boss didn't respect our timing, being late in the meeting by half an hour on that weekend. Don't apply for Sales job. They expect you to work till morning to complete your tender and treat it as a mandatory requirement. Top management will only order you around and make you do a lot more jobs but refuse to lift a finger to help. If they did, they'll consider you incompetent for your role. Don't expect colleagues to be good. Everyone is backstabbing each other trying to look good in front of their bosses.

    Advice to Management

    listen to the lower people more and try to provide more guidance to them, not intimidate them and threaten them with their job. Try to be more patience. Look into your middle management and re-org them when necessary. They are playing too much politics.

    Pros

    Plenty of time to rethink what's are best for your site customers. Processes, procedures, new hardware and plenty of new technologies to play around. If you have the clearance, plenty of playground.

    Cons

    Depends which site you are posted to. The site that I am posted. The site manager is a sly, cunning fox and in the business of flipping Prata meaning confirming one thing and changing another, excel at denying staff feedback, insulting staffs intelligence, suppressing his favourite staffs negative feedback. ATSM is appointed by him, being a puppet and excel only in giving what customer wants without thinking of NCS operational needs. WORSE planner for 10 man operations, even lousy for trips to overseas. Loved to ask women workers to give him a shoulder massage. Low EQ, stupidity rides in his management skills, only wants to work to get his monthly paycheck. Loves to walked around in slippers and attend meetings. Overall a selfish manager. No work recognition, taiji culture

    Advice to Management

    Top management, replace the site overkill tsm, atsm and helpdesk atl, reinstated proper working culture. All teams needs a uplifting service.

    Good Facility High Technology applied Well Documentation for the existing system

    I have been working at NCS full-time

    Pros

    Workload is not so much during different periods. Office has facilities for employees to hang around. Big company with different departments and deals with many different technologies. People are generally nice

    Cons

    No system to review your manager. Working experience differs between projects and departments due to different managers and the lack of guidelines and defined processes. Not well defined job scope and processes allowing bad managers to delegate all the tasks to team members. Not a good environment for learning and training, lacks an emphasize to training. Lacks an emphasize to knowledge sharing between staff, leading to different coding styles and vastly different skill levels.

    Advice to Management

    Try to improve the company's reputation as an employer by caring about employees' work life balance and get feedback on managers from subordinates. Cultivate a better learning environment.

    Only consolation was it was near my home

    Autocratic manager, lousy pantry, always adhoc requests from management
