I have been working at NCS full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Good benefits, both monetary and non-monetary.
    2. Colleagues are friendly and willing to share and help when needed.
    3. Multicultural work environment.
    4. Contribution is recognized (at least for my project, can't say for the rest).
    5. Job security.
    6. Flexible working hours (as long as work is delivered on schedule without compromising quality).
    7. If you are willing, there is always something new to learn or try.
    8. Free in-house training and external certification (certification subjected to approval though).
    9. And many more.

    Cons

    1. If stationed at customer's site, we have no choice but to follow their arrangement e.g. give a tiny space to work, no access to functioning printer or scanner and etc.
    2. Some customers can be outrageously unreasonable.
    3. If stationed at customer's site, you will miss out on the benefits provided in NCS Hub e.g. cheaper food, free refreshments, free recreation and etc.

I worked at NCS full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Vast opportunities to experience different technologies on various project timeframes. Able to work with co-workers from various nationalities & broaden cultural perspectives.

    Cons

Working hours can be irregular & if you're looking for work-life balance, could be difficult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company policies may be good but please ensure they are properly executed. Often times, the "broken" links are the middle-management.

Organisation culture does not encourage new ideas. Your career depends on the whims and fancies of the department head.

I have been working at NCS full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Ok systems, processes, product line up via partnership with vendors.
One of the best Singapore SI yet one of the lousiest in the region compare to its peers of similar scale.

    Cons

    1. No career Growth
    2. No Job Satisfaction
    3. poor work environment where all employees are not equally valued and respected
    4. No transparency in promotion
    5. No recognition of work
    6. Poor organisation culture and environment
    7. really poor renumeration ... really really dissapointing

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please change your organisation culture and environment. Please recruit people based on their talent and skills not merely based on employee reference. And please impove

MOST IMPORTANTLY: Better don't recruit freshers and spoil their careers.

I worked at NCS full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Family oriented benefits though the new medical benefit rolled out last month does not really cater for young healthy individuals
Easy time in this organisation depending on your taichi skill and 'managing boss' skill
Slow pace. A lot of work but expectation is not high

    Cons

Lower pay as compared to industry. Bonus is not that stellar despite getting good performance feedback. This will really hurt your next job salary negotiation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clear those seniors who are just clocking their time to retirement. This saves more money for the entire organisation as compared to cutting cost by removing plastic cup, reducing health benefit and changing toilet paper into something of lower quality.

    Bad place - no leadership

    Current Employee - Assistant Director
    Current Employee - Assistant Director

I have been working at NCS full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

It is a good place for lower level technical staff. Good project managers. Make sure you stay technically involved in the projects and avoid being "promoted" up the chain. Stay at Technical Lead level will be ideal. Otherwise you will be stuck with clueless business/account leaders, ineffective resource management and tonnes of reporting while management avoid the real issues.

    Cons

Very bad top management, resulting in high turnover of good leaders. Turnover is especially high in new growth areas due to lack of top management vision and support. If you are thinking of coming in as an Assistant Director and above, think twice before accepting any offer. Any level lower than that is probably ok but keep your eyes/ears open. Zero worklife balance. Be prepared to work beyond reasonable effort for extended periods.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit. You are affecting too many people's lives.

Awfully Mediocre Place With No Prospect for Those Who Want to Retire

Former Employee - Senior Consultant in Singapore (Singapore)

I worked at NCS full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Slack environment depending on the team
Stable work especially when you have been converted into a permanent staff
    Bonus, 1-2 months
Extensive training program with little alignment with your work

    Cons

    Favoritism is everywhere
Performance review is next to useless - lip service
High turnover, more jobs for the left behind (sorry guys)
    Limited choice of food
    Pay is not too high.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more for talents that actually do something. Preferably as good as sales people
