I have been working at NCS as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

No doubt, NCS is a very good training for the freshie where it is a place for you to expose in different projects and tons of opportunity to interact with different people. As most of the projects a government related hence the challenges are there to sharpen your soft skills where you will never pick up from the book.

    Cons

I have joined NCS for 1 year and 6 months time as of today as a sub-contracted staff. I have received interest from the management of converting me to a Direct contract staff but until today there is no progress other than listening to the same message over and over again. The increment is totally off-track and i would say i am likely under pay right now, i have refresh with 2 bosses now and they are constantly shocked on my pay because they cannot believe that a BA is still earning that little. Monetary prospect already lose out, and no surprise on the benefits too.
I have no compassionate leave at all not even a single day and i was nearly forced by the company to take on no-pay leave during those days when one of my family member has passed on. No bonuses,AWS,13th month are not the biggest grief but small compassionate action isn't there then it is a big matter. Career progression is relatively slow in this company as compare to some international corporate where they consistently provide career progress advise and how to move on to the next level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Moving towards a globalization market, NCS is still very far away as the internal management is still not there yet. Talent management is one of the very good example, employee today looking at themselves as a capital not a resource because every young individual believe that they have the growing value in them and also growing the value of the company. Unfortunately, i still seeing NCS adopting the old concept of treating their employee as a resource, hence the turnover rate in this company is relatively high and indirectly impacting the performance of the company. I hope the management can better looking into this, every single individual who works for the company is an asset regardless of sub-contract,contract or permanent staff.

I have been working at NCS full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Lots of work - which means lots of opportunity to pick up skills.
    - project teams tend to be tight knit - you make good friends with colleagues that worked together to achieve a common goal.

    Cons

    - Long hours with no clear compensation for it, either in time-off or it's equivalent
    - If you don't stay in a project long enough for your boss to appreciate your efforts, you can kiss your promotions good bye.
    - Management used to be good, now replaced by questionable individuals.
    - If you're not in an implementation project, be prepared for God awful increments even though your performance grading is above average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your staff are not resources, they are living, breathing people; Treat them with respect.

I have been working at NCS full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Nothing unless you really got nowhere else to go.
This company is good for those who cannot get job elsewhere or want to retire.

Fresh grad - stay away from this place.

    Cons

Low pay. Low prestige. Bad practice everywhere.
Good if you have attained certain level but definitely not for starter, also known here are slaves.

Some bosses are good and able to guide you well but chances of you getting him or her is probably lower than striking TOTO

Any decent and morally sane person should not recommend anyone to be in this company.

    I am serious.

Nice and friendly colleagues who are always out there to help. Nice work life balance and most of the time, you get to knock off on time.

    Cons

Could not see the career progression and vision of the team. And the working environment is not very conducive. Don't have a good leader and I don't feel very involved in projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I understand that the management has their ways and reasons of making certain decisions. There is no one decision that will fit to all employees here. So I will accept it.
