Pros
There are great opportunities for growth at Neteller with a diverse workforce. The workplace is casual and emphasis is given on how well you work, not just what you look like. If you work hard and are generally a friendly person you will get noticed and compensated accordingly. Pay and benefits are generous there.
Cons
In the past, some people have been put into positions where they might have been a bit over their head. Interdepartmental communication can be problematic and politics exist but it's minor.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep diversifying the company and stay true to the roots of how employees are treated and appreciated.
Pros
Coworkers were usually ok people to work with. Building was newish and ok. A great place to start out and move on if you are able to piece together your experience and education.
Cons
Company lost it's way after the 2007 debacle with the US pullout and never recovered after that. There was a huge loss of company identity and many of the people left over from the massive downsizings were not as qualified and dedicated as those who were there before. Lots of massive, expensive delays in releasing new products. Major changes in duties caused problems for people who found themselves doing new jobs they were not trained for or were qualified to do. Too many major shifts at the top, seemed like the company had new people in the top management levels every 6 months or so and a new CEO annually. Company lost 9/10 of its market to competition after 2007. Lots of internal postering and protection of fiefdoms from supervision and management. Overall, a shell of its former self.
Advice to Senior Management
Kick your marketing groups in the bum, get a new brand identity and penalize those who delay and posture accordingly.
Pros
Money, work life balance and uh, money.
Cons
Management is basically smart as week old bread.
Advice to Senior Management
Quit and get someone in with vision
Pros
Great coworkers
Employee assistance program
Good number of vacation days
Open to allowing employees to move up in the company if they have the skills
Cons
lack of communication between senior management to employees
departments do not work together to reach a common goal
company vision and mission statement is not followed or known/communicated
Advice to Senior Management
focus, true leadership, less micromanagement, more encouragement and direction
Pros
Work Experience: a good training ground for novice employees in all disciplines - from management to entry level.
Cons
Blurred lines of responsibility led to too many (non-required) stakeholders creating a beuarocratic environment. The company has no direction, and lost its identity years ago. It treats business clients very poorly.
Advice to Senior Management
Get rid of the executive - a truly clueless team that only looks out for themselves.
