    Tough Place

    Warehouse Operations Supervisor (Former Employee)

ProsExtremely busy especially if you show initiative. All of the teams worked very hard to accomplish unrealistic goals.

ConsAs a salaried employee, worked 70 hours weekly without Overtime pay. Often asked to correct accounts without the tools needed. Manager Pre shift was held on the floor for all to hear the verbal abuse meted out to the supervisors.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe pragmatic and listen to your team i.e. supervisors, leads and even floor personal (all Temps). Your there to coach and build.

Stress/demands not recognized or rewarded, compensation lacking based upon expectations

    Project Manager (Current Employee)

ProsStable company, not going to close down anytime soon
    Decent 401k with company match

    ConsMicro-management of managers
No ability to make your own decisions
Very demanding, 24/7 availability, even during vacations
Poor insurance options, high priced, high deductible

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you are going to tell prospective employees to treat each business unit as if it is theirs then let them do so with support, in lieu of micro-managing and second guessing every decision. Any talented managers you have will not put up with that type of situation for long.

    Wasted Effort

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGreat diversity and some decent people. Pleasant facilities.

ConsI have experienced and witnessed some seriously disturbing activity at this company including a chilled environment, very poor management (not all managers but enough to do real damage). Retaliation and manipulation. Blatant deceit. Frequent conspiratorial conduct. Very high turnover due to disconnect, disorganization and a complete lack of training along with the previously mentioned. Many of the best people do not want to stay or are pushed out. These things are displayed by both management and employees.

Medical insurance coverage offered is over-priced for most employees who don't make near what they should. Advancement is infrequent at best and based mostly on friendships.

Advice to Senior ManagementMost of this company's biggest problems are within its management. Top level must start weeding out those they have put in positions of control who do not belong there.

    No Room to Grow

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThere aren't very many pros to give this company. There was very little supervision while you worked, so you could work at your pace as long as the job was completed. The job was fairly easy.

ConsThe management showed favoritism to specific employees, if you weren't in there cliche them you were treated like an animal. The ones that were promoted were the ones that didn't do any work and sat on their butts all day long while the ones that worked their butts off weren't shown any signs of appreciation. The workmanship went down hill over the years due lack of leadership skills and favoritism.

Advice to Senior ManagementQuit being buddies with the employees. Provide better management,

    Uncaring about there drivers!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGood CSA scores, oh wait that's because of such a high and fast turnover rate on their drivers.

ConsMakes a lot of promises and keeps non of them. Very disorganized. A true example of right hand not knowing what left hand is doing.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep your promises to your drivers or you will never be able to keep drivers that are worth anything.
