I worked at NG Bailey full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Friendly atmosphere with good staff

    Cons

Poor structure and approach to rewarding loyal staff members

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward loyalty, look for internal promotion before going external or using IT contractors.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at NG Bailey full-time

    Pros

Knowledgeable Staff; Great working atmosphere; Family owned business; Green/sustainable policies; Great training opportunities

    Cons

Upper management too detached from the staff at entry and middle level roles; limited career opportunities (due to a HR department which frequently stunts the growth and developments of other company divisions); Poor facilities at some office sites.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it easier for those who impress their management to actually rise through the ranks and not have to look elsewhere. Streamline HR processes as everything seems to take a very long time to sort. Take on more staff where needed as using contractors and agencies is false economy.

    Pros

Family owned business which re-invests its profits back into the business. The site based teams are very dedicated and excellent at their jobs.

    Cons

    - A thriving blame culture
    - Racist managers
    - Very little coaching or development opportunities

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to get out on site more and speak to your employees who are actually delivering projects.

I have been working at NG Bailey full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Normal workers are some of the most genuine and helpfull people you could meet

    Cons

The Upper Management do not have a clue what they are doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You really do need to look after your staff and deliver on promises. Upper Management and other areas of the business such as HR and shared services are seriously corrupt

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
