Current Employee – been working at NIBCO full-time
Pros – NIBCO has Great wellness programs... They feature gyms and gardens, somthing that is rare in any company. The associates are amazing and products are top of the line. It is rare to find a company that is still family owned, but I feel that is a plus.
Cons – Top management is the only issue. All things have to go through one person and it seems to cause a lot of red tape. Management issues will be the downfall of the company before the products. The "Life" has been taken out of the company and people seem to be afraid to speak their mind because of fear of losing their job. It almost feels like employees are disposible.
Advice to Senior Management – Top management needs to delegate and get their hands out of everything. They hired middle management for a reason..... trust them!

Former Employee – worked at NIBCO
Pros – Co-workers are phenomenal, people are dedicated, and the teams you work with are great.
Cons – Senior Leadership has taken the life out of the company. Benefits have declined, long term employees have been dismissed or laid off, and compensation has been reduced. The workplace culture has completely changed for the worse in the last 5 years.
Advice to Senior Management – Review the past that made the company great and try to believe that the people are what make the company.

Former Employee – worked at NIBCO full-time for less than a year
Pros – Solid company. Good reputation OUTSIDE the company. Some room for advancement. Good benefits - not great but good.
Cons – It's got a heavy atmosphere to it. Everyone keeps their heads down and eyes averted. It is eerily quiet because no one wants to be noticed. Any social interaction between employees is frowned upon - I mean folks didn't even say "good morning" to each other. The place is definitely lacking enthusiasm and joy. I don't believe in a party atmosphere in a business or folks overly socializing but teamwork starts with caring for each other and that is definitely forbidden at NIBCO. I left because it was like going to a funeral every day.
Advice to Senior Management – Take a walk thru the building. If you notice it's dead quiet and noone is speaking to each other, then you'll see what a BIG problem you have.

Current Employee – been working at NIBCO
Pros – good steady work.....it is a job, and there are lots of people that don't have that at the moment.
Cons – the chinese fire drill approach to organization. the lack of interdepartmental communication. the people who make the choices and decisions are often unaware of other options and choices.
Advice to Senior Management – the biggest thing i can see is that just because your management does not mean that everything you do or decide to do is correct. lots of times the people who really know the answers are the people who are doing the job.
