Pros
Nike has generous paid time off.
Cons
Terrible managers. Nike does not promote well from its ranks, and hires just as badly outside the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Try promoting people who do their jobs well instead of the people who kissed your ass.
Pros
Awesome people, awesome culture, awesome company
Cons
people move around from position to position way too fast
Advice to Senior Management
keep up the culture, that's what makes Nike totally awesome
Pros
The benefeits are the biggest Pro. Access to exclusive nike product and facilities including: a private store, a private gym, campus events and activities along with great medical benefits as well
Cons
They do not have the most competitive salaries. The hiring process is often lengthy. very competitive work place even after being hired
Pros
Great sports culture and work site
Cons
Too much focus on "personal press" of employees
Advice to Senior Management
As you roll out organizational changes, invest to make changes effective upfront rather than as a last resort.
Pros
The culture is fun and relaxed
You are working with some of the coolest products on the planet
The dress code is casual (Wear shorts and t-shirts to work)
Cons
I really cannot think of any cons about working for Nike. Like any other publicly traded company it has some challenges but they are nothing that you would not see anywhere else.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you guys are doing, the company is thriving in a challenging economy.
Pros
The shoes are awsome and it was great being able to know all the new releases and having the chance to buy them first.
Cons
Childish coworkers, some very polite other very immature but it was a majority of them. Overall it was an ok job.
Advice to Senior Management
Management is great sometimes there were so many you don't know who to go to one person would tell you one thing the other another and caused problems and confusion.
Pros
Great atmosphere, anything and everything you would want in a company, as far as amenities goes! A lot of great and talented people work at Nike.
Cons
Hard to advance unless you know the right people or you brown nose real good :) Performance reviews tend to be subjective instead of objective :(
Advice to Senior Management
Why give any advice....management does what management wants to!!
Pros
Time off was easy enough. They'd hire just about anybody w/o a record if you were passionate about the swoosh. Lots of bad attitudes were allowed to stick around like no other place I've worked at.
Cons
Low pay, and not many get the amazing benefits. It's who you know, worse than I've ever seen. Unaware of the rest of the world who didn't drink their Kool-Aid.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire less seasonal athlete's and give more hours to the workers you've got. Better break room. Please be more considerate with the employee's time. Put up the work schedules w/ way more advance. I can't tell you how many times I didn't know if I was working the next day, because the schedule wasn't posted yet.
Pros
Professional Environment
Well Oiled Machine
Great organization
Cons
More updated tools for repairs
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to needs of employees
Pros
Great work environment
Great benefits
Strong top leadership
Fun culture
Cons
Matrix can sometimes be challenging to navigate
